Well, it seems like the Source Engine hates me. Every other game I play on the laptop in my sig runs perfectly, from Far Cry, to Cod 2, to Fear, but whenever I play a game that has to do with the Source Engine, it randomly crashes at any given time. Some times it is good for an hour or two, and then it will crash. Sometimes, it will only play for 20 or 30 minutes and then crash. Sometimes it just won't load at all. This is manly with CS:S, I observed HL2 is more stable. So, does anyone have any advice. This happened to me on all my other computers as well. Maybe it is my game. I tried defragmenting Cache Files, verifying thier integrity, but it still crashes at random times. I'm thinking it is due to overheating of my card, usually when the game crashes it just stops, and the sound that was being played just starts looping continuosly.
As stated before, all other games run perfectly fine, and don't crash.
Any Help?

That's funny because my desktop does that too... ?
Sometimes the crash just quits the game, some times in freezes and when I press ctrl alt delete i can only sseee my mouse and when i rpess ctrl + escape, i can sometimes see the taskbar, but basically my background is replaced by the frozen css... is this what happens? -
It could be overheating. Have you checked CPU/GPU temperatures when it happens?

I doubt it, he has a 7200, from what I know, it doesn't produce much heat.

It happens when I try to connect to some servers. I'll get stuck on that screen with the box and progress bar. Then I can't ctrl+alt+del out of it, as the desktop is replaced by that screen.
Basically, I think somebody at Valve forgot to put in a timeout counter at that point in the code. -

69c is nothing for the CPU.
Try updating video drivers! -
