Well, seeing as I've been stuck with a POS for the last couple of years, incapable of running HL2, I'm a little behind. For this time I've played some CS 1.6 and Day of Defeat which I enjoy. Now that I have a new laptop coming, capable of running HL2, I was looking on a deal for the source games. What I found on Steam was a pretty sweet deal coming in at $79.95

    Source Premier Pack
    Includes: Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Portal, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2

Can anyone say whether or not this package is worth the money. I mean, it's a lot of games, but I'm not sure if I would play each and every one of them, but it would be nice to have. I also am wondering if anyone knows a way to get this deal retail for cheaper. I actually saw the Orange Box for $25 at bestbuy.com here. Its sold out now :)(), but is any other store have a deal close to this.

Anyway, can anyone who has this or similar tell me if its worth dropping the 80 spot for this collection.

Not really a deal...if im not mistaken isnt Half life deathmatch & lost coast already free? Also you don't really need half-life: source either...

I would just pickup the orange box for $50. Unless you really really want DoD because thats the only thing you wont get from that list that isn't in the orange box.

"Something: Source" games are buggy rehashes that play worse than the originals. The only exception is Counter-Strike: Source, but you've already got the original.

    I'd get the Orange Box.

    by the way
orange box was on the sale for 25 bucks at bestbuy by today....
    so:
    hl2 lost coast and deathmatch=free
    hl2/ hl2episode/ portal/ team fortress2=$25
    --------------------------------------
Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, = needed
i think it's not a great deal... since i could just get source package and hl2 stuff i mentioned it at the top. also you can wait for christmas package

Version 9 of Garry's Mod is still a free mod. Try before you buy.
