Game is out and live. Had a chance to create my character this morning and play around a bit for a few minutes before work. I've been watching South Park since I was a teenager in the 90's, so I am really excited about this game, especially since it's in my favourite rpg style and obsidian is involved. Also, hooray for no Uplay.
Anyone else get it or have a chance to play a bit more than I have?
Edit: Had a chance to play a bit more.

TLDR - Lifelong South Park fans should purchase the game and view it as a chance to play yourself in a 14 hour South park episode.
Good - See TLDR. It's your own episode of south park. Classic RPG Turn based style - think S/NES Final Fantasy. No Uplay.
Bad - No customization on pc for controls, graphics, anything really. Not even v-sync. If you have a gamepad plugged in, you can't use your mouse as well. If you don't like the style of gameplay or the show, you won't enjoy the game.
Gameplay recommendations - I prefer mouse/keyboard over controller for this game, which is the opposite of what i expected. Take your time when creating the name of your character, you can't go back to edit it when you think you can (you'll see what i mean, d-bag)

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
I too am a huge South Park fan and I'm really excited about this game.
So far I heard only good stuff about it (it must be - no wonder it's censored in Germany), apart from "gets a bit repetitive towards the end". We'll see - first gonna wait till it goes on sale

It is live? OMG, yep def buying that game. But I`m a little busy with Borderlands 2 DLC`s and I have plans to play D3 now that Loot 2.0 is live plus the new expansion is right around the corner.
Can`t play South Park until March 6th here in Norway.
2 days and 3 hours according to Steam -

Green Man Gaming has 25% off on the game, which makes it 30EUR total... Tempting... Very tempting...

I never could enjoy South Park as much I'd like to. It has funny episodes and moments, but I don't find it to be a very attractive TV show. I've been watching game-play videos of this and they're pretty funny. It will be interesting to see how it ends...

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I saw PewDiePie play it, looked pretty funny.

How closely does it match the Final Fantasy game play style? I am not really a fan of the FF turn based combat. I played FF7, and the combat became very repetivive.
I plan to get the game, but I will wait until a major sale comes along. Now to avoid spoilers for a year or so... -

In all honestly the combat is not super impressive but then I'm not really playing it for the gameplay. The story and jokes more than make up for non-dynamic turn based combat.

I believe it's more akin to the Paper Mario series vs just old school FF. You have a chance to hit a button at a specific time to increase yoru damage, block an incoming attack, etc.
