    Hey guys-

I recently purchased Left 4 Dead on my steam account...I have started to play it and I am experiencing some really intense delay and leg spikes, even in single player which is not online..
I am pretty sure its not my graphics card because I also run Far Cry 2 which is definitely more graphically intense, and it runs perfectly.
    Any ideas?

    Try disabling multi core support.

Yup, that fixed the lag spikes for me. I recommend trying this as well.
