So the graphics options in the game don't offer me anything over 1280x1024 - I should easily be able to max this game out at 1920x1080 and was looking for some help.

I've read all the guides about changing the .ini file to force the res but I've tried that and don't see a difference. The menu screen still doesn't offer me that option (although I've been told that after forcing things via the .ini file the in game settings shouldn't be fiddled with) and everything appears to be the same size it used to be (usually stuff gets smaller with higher res settings, especially UI related). Any way to check it's worked (other than the obvious changing of settings, screenshots or just eye comparisons).

    Any ideas?

EDIT: It's now running at full res - the only problem I now have is that the brightness/contrast ratio isn't right and I'm afraid to mess with those considering I was told not to change settings in game once I'd forced a new resolution.

The game also refuses to load the main menu after exiting a mission, instead choosing to reload said mission, and so I have to ctrl+alt+del it but that's another matter altogether...

why don't you change the settings then force the resolution, in that order?

That was my next move, I was just hoping I could avoid having to force the res again and save myself some time
