    Hi,

I was wondering if Splinter Cell: Double Agent would work on Vista Ultimate x64 or not. I went to the website, but I didn't see where it lists what systems the game would be compatible with. Has anyone played it on Vista x86 or x64, particularly the latter? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

i had the game on vista x64 ultimate it ran but i got to a certain point in the game, where you are outside a building trying to use a lazer mic through the window and when i reach the auto save, it kept crashing so i uninstalled it, i hope this helps..

It's been a while but, if I recall correctly there was an issue with this game and the previous SC games under 64bit OS due to their Starforce DRM implementation. this resulted in inability to install/launch the game or as Jimbo pointed out crashes... Not sure if it was ever patched but, the last I recall reading was that they officially sanctioned the use of the "No-DVD" patches/fixes...

As far as performance, DA still used an upgraded version of the Unreal 2.5 engine from what I remember and ran very well on the older ATI X700/800 series so I would guess any recent video adapter would be up to the task. Good luck :)

    Jimbo1 and Davwin,

Thank you both for the input. I guess I'll just have to use my XP HDD. I haven't logged into that for a very long time, and I was trying to avoid having to do that just to play the game each time. Ah well. Thank you both again.
