Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
This demo is cool, runs really good on my old Inspiron, the fans don't even turn on compared to if I were playing SimCity 4.
-
It heats up my old nx9420 quite a lot
I guess moving frog-headed baboons ain`t as easy as 1 2 free. -
I noticed this before. But who's face is that ?
-
George W Bush`s , of course
-
I played with the trial yesterday, was pretty fun.
Wonder if I should buy the full creature creator. -
Does the current 'full' version contain ALL of the parts that will be in the game upon release?
-
I would assume so...
Unless they add more and make changes to their creature creator as a result of these trials. -
228 parts doesnt seem like very many.
-
i downloaded the trial. i guess it's interesting to see a glimpse of what their game is going to be about in regards to creatures having all sorts of different bodies. but, are people really going to pay $10 bucks for this? can you do something else besides add arms and eyes to a body? whats the actual purpose of this application?
i thought in spore you start out as a single celled organism, not an animal. -
what's with the creature creator? I thought you started out with a single cell...
-
So what exactly does the 10$ part have more than the trial?
-
From what I read (I forget where, maybe wikipedia), the creatures people are making with the pre-released creature editor will be used to populate the world of spore when it is released. So they're using this to get a lot of different creatures.
When you play the game and get passed the cell phase, your computer downloads creature information from their servers and populates your own world with creatures created by other players around the world. So these creatures that are being created now will be used to populate worlds during the release of the game.
And it lets people have a preview of the game and play around with the editor.
The free trial only has 25% of the features unlocked. The 10$ version has all of it. -
I'm guessing the Creature Creator only represents one stage of evolution though? You probably start out with simpler creatures after the single cell phase, and go on to more advanced ones in the technological phase, maybe you can build robots and stuff.
By the way, where can we suggest ideas? -
I think that once you get to the late space phases, you can actually "seed" planets to sort of start from scratch again, so you are playing god over creatures that are playing god. Kind of a mind **** if you think about it too much.
But yeah, the creature creator is the tool that lets you create the mid-advanced level creatures in the game. It is just removed from the game itself. Whereas in the game, you will have to spend some form of "DNA points" to "buy" upgrades to your creature, the creature creator lets you go crazy and design whatever you want without worrying about points. You just don't actually get to play the game with these creatures as your species.
-
Ok so I created a chicken-frog-pork and a hipo-lizard-cow.
Is that all the game has to offer? -
This is just the creature creator. It's like if they released the building editor for a SimCity game before the game came out. Spore is going to be a much larger game. Oh, and by the way, chicken-frog-pork? I didn't know a pork was an animal.
-
Neither did I until now
I guess I`m too hungry
