The Good
Intuitive and comprehensive customization tools Oozes charm at every turn Impressively broad scope Great audio and art design.
The Bad
Individual gameplay elements are extremely simple Early stages aren't very engaging.

I still want to play this game!
-
this neevr interested me and still doesnt
-
Why does the US have to get it last. -_-
-
They want to maximize profits in the smaller markets!

Got the game yesterday and I'm close to finishing phase 4 but I love phase 1 the most...
Took the following screenshots when I finished phase 2 last night...
This is my creature when I finished phase 2...
ok it's not very creative but meh I just wanted to mount some cool looking weapons on it...
so yea these are the mounted weapons...
This shot looks cool imo...
Close-up shot!
he has too much health!!!11111 xO run!!!
Now that's a funky monster with lots of health!
Someone wants meat and someone felt into the water...
-
This looks pretty fuuuuun.

The game stops being fun when you're at Space age. It seriously isn't worth the cash. :/
-
I don't get it, is this an RTS? a sims like game, an adventure game, or... what is this!? Is there a plot?
I figured this was just a build up a new species and basically do nothing with it, just build it and watch it do stuff.. What exactly do you do? and the reviewers aren't very helpful.
Akuma, you can't really say that. I know some people who don't even play the storyline of games like this, just the fact that you do create your own civilization is enough for them. I'll check this out when one of them eventually buys it, til then I wouldn't pirate it, even to check it out, that's wrong. -
the review clearly states what you do in each of the 5 stages..

I'd love to play this but I hear it uses Starforce protection or similar, which has a reputation for screwing your dvd/cd drivers and occasionaly even the drive
.

Anyways, on topic, I may get Spore after I beat Fallout 3 because the first few stages look really interesting. The space stage seems like a poor man's version of gal civ (which is a great game btw).

Well, guess what guys? I (in Central London) went into my local video games shop (a chain store) and asked about Spore yesterday, and they said they've never heard of it before. I asked again with amazement just to make sure, but they just said, "I'll look it up on the system."
They obviously know their business!
