star ocean: til the end of time for ps2 was a decent game, though, i got to a point in the game where it was impossible to win so i gave up. i didn't know square enix developed that series. i remember hearing when ffX came out that square enix only planned to release a few more final fantasies, so i don't know.

I wasn't too sure due to the fact its a PS3 game and not a computer game. Though, thanks for the move!

I guess they want to keep everything secret until the end. It's been 3 years and they only are showing the same trailer (and an extended version).

i love the FF series, with 7,10 and 12 being my favorites for different reasons and i think FF13 would be the only reaosn for me to get another PS3, the only reason i got rid of my old one was becuase im going to Uni, i would love it if it came to PC but thats NEVER going to happen which is a real shame.

lets hope so, what two games are you talking about FF13 and Verses? whats the difference between them, i thought they were the same game except one was like a limited edition or something.

^ ^ Details are still pretty unclear. Anyhow ya I've never had the chance to try out 10 or 12 because they were PS2 only. If this one gets rave reviews from hardcore FF sites I might consider buying/renting a PS3 to play it.

There's no way I'd consider a lineup that includes Star Ocean, Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest a letdown. :)

Considering the fact that none of these are for PC, I think thats the major let down... though I don't think any one had any expectations of that in the first place. But Chrono trigger ftw though.

I will be there, hopefully I can get more info out of the Square-Enix booth.

Chrono Trigger has been a slippery slope ever since they dropped the Chrono Trigger 2 and Chrono Breaker projects during E3 2006.

Chrono Trigger deserves more attention since its still one of the best all time games... no doubt. :)

I personally love the line up, and am more excited about some of these titles than I am about the next final fantasy.

For me Final fantasy XII was a big big letdown. Sure, it was technically sound and I guess it had some obvious obvious qualities, but it was completely devoid of any charm.

Worst thing is that I'm more excited about the remakes on the DS then the new games.

DS remakes are pretty nice since they can be developed fast without having to deal with new complex platforms like PS3 or 360.

DS remakes are usually pretty good.

Even without FF being on there this is a pretty good lineup. Dragonquest and Chrono Trigger for DS...can't wait for that. Sad that PS3 has only one game coming out on the list but aw well...

you have never played them, thats a disgrace :D
you should really find a way to try them, they are both great. theres just something about FF10 that i love, shame the end boss was a ripoff, it only had 99,999 health i killed it in one hit. but they have dark aeons (summons) and penance. the monster with the lowest health had well over a million and im sure penance had like 10,000,000.

i dont think i could justify buying a console for one game, so my only chnace is if they:

    1, port it to PC

    or

2, borrow a mates and rent the game

I bought my PS3 for FF and MGS but I've still bought other games. FF10 was pretty good. Never played 12, but I heard it was ok.

I really anxious for these DS games to come out.

God, if chrono trigger 2 came out, I would buy w/e console it was on no questions asked.
