This news deserves some Victory Fanfare to be played!
Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase has said that the company is now open to releasing more Final Fantasy games to the PC platform. Currently, all that we have are VII, VIII, XI, and XIV - with the last two being MMORPG's.
I personally think that this is awesome, both for future and past releases of the franchise which may be coming to the PC. No more having to buy the consoles just to play the games, we may finally just be able to play the games on our preferred platform! The PC highly lacks in the JRPG department, so the more of these we get the better.

With all consoles going AMD x86 with AMD's API Mantle, it's no doubt ports over to PC will be seamless and forthcoming.
