I have big problem when playing Stalker Shadows of Chernobyl on my laptop. Every time when im playin it i got BSOD after certain time, no matter what temps of proc and gpu are. This is only happening with Full Dynamic Lighting, dunno why. When I set it to Static Lighting, everything's cool. I got 6 BSODs for past 3days and im starting to think that my gpu (8600gt gddr2 512mb) is the main problem. I occur this problem only with Stalker, b4 that i was playing and finished Crysis, COD4, GOW, R6 Vegas2, Bioshock and couple of other games with no problem at all...
Btw, just for the record, im playing Stalker with Oblivion Lost 2.0 mod

Anyone know why is this happening, bug with engine code of the game

    OS: Vista Home SP1
Laptop: Acer 5920g, 2gigs of ram, t8100, 320 WD hdd

I have exactly the same problem with my 1730,dynamic lighting equals BSOD when a new area or level loads after about an hour of gameplay....static lighting, like you .....works fine.

There is quite a lot of people on the net that have had this problem with STALKER,particularly with 88** series cards and doesn't seem to matter what drivers,XP or Vista,SLI or non-sli....

I got sick of trying new drivers,so I just finished it with static lighting :(

I don't run a modded version and it is patched....looks like they need another one ;)

as Weegie said, its a problem with 8800 cards, since ive finished the game with Dynamic lightning without a single crash
