    ...

You do not have a valid graphics driver, of course Windows will have to improvise and install one of its super basic, super useless, and super annoying "temporary" graphics driver just so that it can actually display something on the screen!

    I advise you to either:
    1) Re-install your stock driver/newest updated manufacturer's driver.
    Or
    2) Go to Laptopvideo2go.com and download one of the newer driver and the modified INF and install that instead.

Are you sure you are using the Modified INF from Laptopvideo2go AND using the "Have Disk Method" of installation?

Also try using CCleaner or DriverCleaner to see if it can clean up some remains from your last uninstall/re-install.

Read the instructions when you install the drivers. This is a PEBKAC error.

You say it in such nice terms. When I read these threads I want to throw a brick at my screen.

If you use XP, follow THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

If you use Vista, follow THESE OTHER INSTRUCTIONS.

If you do not follow these instructions TO THE LETTER, I will unleash a grumpy Jalf on you, and you DO NOT want that.

You don't have to use the Have-Disc method. That takes a lot longer. Just use the modded inf.
