Season 2 is going to be going live in the next week or so bringing with it a whole slew of new content including Klingon episodes, gameplay mechanics (Diplomacy), new space sector (Fluidic Spcae) and new ships (Excelsior and Nebula, along with tier 5 versions of the Galaxy, Defiant and Intrepid classes). If someone ones to give the game a go I have some referral keys I can had out. You can try the game out with out them, but if you use them it helps me out in my attempt to unlock a ship (Galaxy Dreadnought from TNG "All Good Things..."). PM me your email so I can generate a referral key.

The referrals work my entering the referral key at the beginning of the sign up process for the demo. In order for it to count towards the ship the person has to buy the game and bill for or buy 1 month after the initial 30 days.

I'll post unclaimed keys here. First come first serve. These are extra key generated from someone who ended up not using it. I'll post any keys that go for a week with out being claimed since I can only generate 5 keys every 2 weeks if they are not claimed (and sometimes people forget to enter them and you can enter them after the fact, oh well).

I rather play FF14 for half a year, then switch over to TOR full time instead of playing this garbage.

I tried the STO Beta and unless the ground combat has been improved over just a click and shoot snore fest, I am not paying $15 for space combat that is only interesting for the first few hours.

Yeah the Defiant and the Excelsior are what I'm looking forward to. You earn the Defiant by lvling to 51 Vice Admiral and the Excelsior is either a reward for diplomatic missions or you can buy it with CP, it will feature a Transwarp drive that will let you travel to any sector space map, with heavy cool down though. I think I heard some mention that there are going to be 3 different variations for the Nebula class, one for each of the 3 classes.

Played the beta. At the time it was merely 'meh'.

Still went ahead and bought the retail game, CE no less because I'm a gamer at heart :). But I haven't brought myself to install and register a subscription yet. I visit the official forum from time to time and I can see the game is still hit & miss. I also find Cryptic's micro transaction (whatever they call their STO in-game purchases scheme) methods quite questionable.
