Heh - James Bond looks really cool luck...I think I'm going to have to pick that up..or put it on my Christmas list! :p

I love the Matrix - one of my favorite movies as well. Haven't tried that many of the games first. I'm going to see if I can download a demo.

I'm going to pickup battlefront 2 myself.. 1 was a little disappointing (levels were too small to fly the TIE fighter around I found) but the capital ships etc in 2 I cannot resist!

Busy gaming season.. Civ4, battlefront 2, and the upcoming battlefield 2 expansion.. plus I'm still playing dawn of war! yeesh!

OK guys I got it and installed it!

So far, I've played about an hour. Initial impressions:

-By modern graphics standards, they're pretty decent. Lighting and shadows, as well as plants/foliage are improved. I like the different planets. An improvement over BF1, most improvements are lighting and character detail.

-Stats during battle (ammo, health, charge, etc) are more difficult to read/make out. Better the old way.

-The flying in space is pretty cool, although not that action-packed...I like it though, a good addition.

-Bening a jedi is pretty fun, I haven't learned how to do all the moves yet. Easy to kill stuff though, especially droids.

-I love being Boba and Jango Fett..very fun!

    -So far so good.

I got it on monday too, it is pretty fun! I miss some of the features I got used to in battlefield 2 though, especially the squad stuff.. It's really just more of a kill-a-thon though, the engineer doesnt seem to get much use in fixing vehicles and stuff, anyway. Some maps are totally crazy with the action. Can't even tell what's going on, half the time. The space combat is cool but seems a little half-assed. Why no radar when flying fighters??

Man I really miss the Dune Sea level!!! Why did they take that out...I loved using the speeder bike in that in Battlefront1.

The space combat is pretty cool, I like it a lot. The bombers are the best. I don't know why there is no radar...

One thing I also miss from the first one is that the crosshairs don't change when you switch weapons - it gave the weapons a different feel. Oh well.

    Good on the whole though!

    Hey Chaz,

Did you play Battlefront II on your Acer 4400? I'm thinking of getting that computer now.

Does the 64MB X700 support vertex shading?

Yes, it should run BF2 just fine, as it ran the original. I ran BF1 on my TM4402 at max everything @ XGA, no problem.

Hm, if you have the GMA900, then it's not going to run. Are you using a laptop? If so, you can't upgrade the graphics card.

Nope i have an actual desktop computer. HP, but i have played the game only single player, i passed the computer analyse test and still problems. When i play the background flickers, and loading screen takes a long time, also when i play online is says connection to host lost... but everything works except prolly graphics. Before it used to crash when i pressed play. Some of my freidns think it because of my graphics card so im thinking of getting anew one. I have an Intel 910G i think.... can u help?

Yes - good thing you have a desktop, because you can upgrade that. You should have an open PCI-e slot for a graphics card.
How much do you want to spend on a new card?

It's just open up the case and pop it in. However, HP case can be a little tricky to open + void warranty. You should beable to get GF6600GT with 128MB easily under $199 and that's enougth to play any game right now. IF you are rich, aim for 6800 ^^

Right, the 6600GT is a very powerful card. The 6800GT is in your price range, if you have a big enough power supply. ;)
