I searched and came up empty. Trying to launch SWBF beta and it requires Nvidia driver 355.60?
    I´m on 347.88. Really?

I thought the so called optimized driver for SWBF3 was 358.50. That's the one I'm using

I just ran the beta, apart from virtually all the missions being disabled, why it needs 9gb download i dont know, maybe all the missions are there, they are just disabled so you just get an taste for the game.

But i enjoyed the 1 mission tatooine, and it ran fine on my Intel i3-4010U using it`s integrated gpu and i used the default settings, dying to have another go and cannot wait for the full game.

9GB is nothing these days. BF4 with expansions is like 57GB.

BF4 actually has huge maps and impressive enough graphics with vehicles and all sorts of stuff to make sense.

    Most of the others.... well....

Yikes 57GB, I was happy with the games on my old Amiga computer in the 80`s and they managed to fit an exciting game on an 720k floppy disk, No FPS games those day`s though as far as i can remember, I remmber have an space game called Epic on my Amiga "20mb" Hdd

The Battlefront combat was quit hairy, being attacked by an scout-walker and 20 stormtroopers is fun, and i like the gun section, The great big heavy gun is fun, it has low damage but fires really fast and cools down quick, In the heat of battle I keep moving, it`s a lot harder to shoot a moving target.

I'd rather play Destiny. And that says a lot considering my dislike of that game... Yet that is what I did today. The ten people who I was playing with in various teams all said they played the beta and removed it. This game is going to flop.

I also find it quite "blah". It feels like a mediocre shooter with Star Wars skinned over it, and the vehicle combat has not got nearly enough attention.

I definitely won't be aiming to get it.

Me neither. It's a very watered-down, casualized Battlefront game, even more so than say BF3 was compared to BF2. Basically a Star Wars skinned Battlefield with fewer players. Compared to the old Battlefronts, the only thing it's got over them is prettier graphics. I'm sure it will sell a lot of copies, but it won't have much long-lasting appeal. I expect to be dead by the time the next Battlefield rolls around.

Battlefield 5 is scheduled to be release November 2016. But yeah from what I've played it will have some lasting appeal considering there's only limited upgrades in this beta. But they do have a lot more work to do with graphics and hopefully ability to switch weapons at spawn, and there's supposed to be an in-game browser for choosing games.

It's appeal is due to it being the only (Battlefront) game in town since Battlefront II died after the GameSpy shutdown. Dumbed down or otherwise, people who want a populated Battlefront experience have no other viable alternative. The new game is matchmaking only for crying out loud. This deserves re-posting.

I've enjoyed it so far, and this is only the beta. I realize the game is to be released very soon next month, but I don't see any huge game breaking issues. Performance is great and it looks great IMO. I looked at a YouTube video of Battlefront 2 uploaded this year and I don't see what the craze was about that game versus what I'm seeing here. Obviously there is going to be more maps, and there is definitely a forest map, you can see it in the beta game modes not released yet. In all honesty I've also had zero trouble with the match making service they are running. Getting into a game takes less than 15 seconds typically. Load times seem much faster than BF4, and I have this beta running on my 7200 spinny drive versus the SSD that BF4 is installed to. Unless I see something different or change my mind over the next couple days when the beta is scheduled to end, I will be preordering.

I won't pre-order, well only if they offer some great incentives, like free DLC. :p

Rainbow Six Seige was fairly good IMO during the beta just a week ago or so (aside from the atrocious early match making). I'm not sure I'll be preordering but will try and get it decently priced on G2A. I heard they are promising FREE DLC .

    Not preordering as well.

However, this is probably the first DICE beta that didn't constantly crash on me every couple of hours.

Ironically, BF4's beta I don't remember crashing on me. In fact, I never had a single crash issue with BF4 until after the majority of crash issues were "fixed", to my memory.

But this game has crashed three times; once with a DirectX Error that froze my PC shortly afterward. My system was stock, so I know it wasn't my system's fault. BF4 has also crashed my GPU drivers at stock in the past without being used at max util and it's glitched out my system until I had restarted.

It's why I hate playing BF4 very often. nVidia drivers being cancer or not, the fact of the matter is that if I'm not playing BF4 (or apparently Battlefront) then I don't crash at stock. Folding@home on CPU and both GPUs at 100%? easy pickings. GTA V at max graphics with overclocks? ONE single crash in about 3-4 full days of doing it. Every other game I own at stock? crash-free. BF4/SWBF? problems. I won't blame nVidia for DICE's screwups here.
