How well do you think the 6970m on the M17x R3 will play this?

I think 6970m will struggle with SWTOR if you run like 8 clients.

Speaking of KOTOR, I've never been able to make it work longer than 2 minutes on my Windows 7 (new laptop) - didn't open at all on vista (old laptop).

I bought the game in 2005.

Tried, that's how I was able to get it to work on my new laptop (HP Dv6tQE) for a couple minutes. The old one was an Asus G1S.

It looked like a fun game for the few minutes it ran T.T

I still can't run the game with 8x/16x aa/etc it always lags in fog/smoke

I was a "diehard" kotor 1 fan until I played kotor 2 with the resto mod +jedi temple mod, the endgame is a little messed up still, but it is 100x better than it was originally

Knights of the Old Republic 2 Mods, Knights of the Old Republic 2 Maps, Knights of the Old Republic 2 Downloads

its called hijacking a thread... :p

@OP, I'm reasonably sure a 6970m should completely max it out. Even a 5870 or 460 might do the job.

The game looks like to going to have great graphics, probably at or a lil under rift and similar mmos, so I would just check if you can max out them.

However that is kind of inaccurate because they do use different game engines and all, but it should give you an idea

It is going to be fine. The graphics for TOR so far look pretty standard and KotOR-like (hence why I mentioned it). I see it won't have any problems on high-end mobile GPU's to run. I think I am more concerned on how well our GPU's can scale to Guild Wars 2...

Then again with the exception of Dragon Age 2, BioWare has never been good in the graphics department... :p
