Anyone pick it up yet?
I played and loved the first one (on the 360), and I tried it on the PC and the port was pretty horrible.
I played the demo of II and it was pretty fun, but I was just curious if this one has the same FPS issues as the first one had.
Thoughts and discussions about the game?

I've got it preordered as I know I'm going to love the dual-lightsaber combat and force powers, and based upon the user reviews so far this time around they did a decent job porting it, though it is still capped at 30 fps and it seems to have some issues revolving around Vsync.
I'll post again here once it arrives and I find some free time to try it out. -
I've stopped playing Starcraft 2 to play it.
It's entertaining Force throwing people. That's all I do. -
Impressions? How well is it running for you? -
Impressions I've read is that it's a short game. Of course not sure what defines short. If it's 6-8 hours I guess that's par for the course.
-
Is it capped at 30fps this time?
That's a deal breaker. -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Reviews arent encouraging. The first one wasnt half bad, it had some good points, but it was a "so so" game.
Kotaku slammed the sequel, they said that it phails harder in those "mediocre" aspects that made the first decent.
Also, reading around teh interwebs (to exclude that kotaku review was flawed) seems that everyone have the same opinion: the first wasnt that great, the sequel isnt even that great like the precedent.
Until i get a demo of it its a no go. -

That is disgusting. Why do they do that?
Is the game engine built with that limitation? -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Yep cause its a console port of some sort.
Leading SKU for development was Xbox 360, so just have it lol.
I hope they come out with something like War for Cybertron: a little trainer to remove the framecap. Its utterly gorgeous to see it running maxed out at 1200p...with fps from 45 to 70 lol. -
Well I tested it out a bit on my PC, and it's so-so.
The gameplay itself is decent (I only played the first 2 missions but I can already tell I like the first one a LOT better), and the frame rate cap is annoying.
Having everything on lowest and I still get a bit of lag here and there, and my cut scenes sometimes lag/stutter, or parts are missing. -
Hmm, not so great then? I loved the first one despite the ridiculous performance issues.
Can you atleast tweak the gfx settings in this one? -

I never beat the first one, I think it became to repetitive for me to continue interest in it after a certain point.
Though I played it for both Wii and PC, I cant recall the version I liked better. There were almost different games since the Wii version was unique compared to the others.
Looking into this sequel, reviews and ratings are not so good and it seems to be a very short game. I dont think I can convince myself its wroth getting until I find it in a bargain bin one day or maybe one of those really great steam sales. -
Maybe it just doesn't run well on my system (not that surprising looking at the system specs). -
I'm running it maxed out on a ATI 5870, but there is definitely a frame cap at 30 FPS.
It's bloody short too. Only 4 hours long. -
Pass... -
i will wait for the steam sale

Just finished it. Unless you have a machine you know will run it, and you got money to waste, then get it. Otherwise, don't bother.
All I have to say is....button mashing. That's it. -
It is fun for only a few moments. It is better optimized than the first game, but I wish there was vsync because there is a lot of screen tearing during the cutscene.
-
I finished it in like 4 hours or so.
And yes is button mashing all the way, force powers only useful when upgraded to the max. -
Gawd, you shock the living hell out of Vader at the end for sure,it was pretty intense, lol
-
Sounds like the force is not strong with this one. I think I will pass.

I am liking this one a lot, plays great, little more control over the graphics options this time too. Not much, but a little. Still locked at 30 FPS, but it doesn't matter runs great on max for me. I loved the first one, on my 5th play through now for Force Unleashed. This one seems a lot harder than the first, but I really like that. The scale of some of the fights and scenes is pretty amazing. I loved the arena, and the space battle over the cloning facility was amazing. Been so good I have completely forgotten about Fallout: New Vegas, but I will get back to that soon. Here are a few pics for those interested.

Still can't post pics as the name sets off the language filter. -

I definitely am interested in this game. I still don't like how you can crush Tie Fighters (sp?) with the force but you struggle to lift a soldier who is clinging to a metal crate. Ignoring that, the action is fun and force lifting people never gets old.
