I was browsing around Best Buy Canada one and I stumbled upon the StarCraft II page... And Guess what!!
According to them, StarCraft II is going to be released on 05/31/2010- thats less than 2 months away!!!!!!
Looks like the ten year wait is going to be over SOON!!!!
    See below.

bestbuy.com (US), which advertises 06/01/2010 as the release date, has the following at the bottom of the 'features':

" Official pricing and release date have not been announced by the publisher; these are estimates only and subject to change."

Your screenshot has the same disclaimer in bold at the end of the first description paragraph.

Of even more interest is that an un-released game has already been reviewed once and rated 165 times...on Best Buy US, the game has already been reviewed 24 times...one reviewer did state that she/he played the beta...so much mis-information on the internet...now, I'm doubting wikipedia again...*sigh*...back to Britannica...

70 Canadian dollars...60 USD on Best Buy (US)...not that $60 is excusable either...I think, based on the exchange rate, that I would buy in the US...you'll save about 9.50 USD...

^Good eye. I didn't even bother to read anything other than the price and the title name. Hopefully the prices will drop. I've never seen a game go over $60.

Considerin this so-called Starcraft II game is going to be a trilogy I would say the PC vanilla version (as opposed to Collector's Ed.) should sit @ $40~$50 CDN. Wishful thinking? Probably.

Umm, these are always estimates, and are in no way official. I don't think Blizzard even knows when this game will be released.

Gamestop states its $50. I preordered mine $5 down, so $45 left to pay + tax.

Has nothing to do with the exchange rate as the dollar is nearly at par. They just like to milk us canadians

I don't know... this is Activision Blizzard we're talking about now, Activision were one of the first to have games over $50 too I believe (or to hit the $60 mark, one of those), so I wouldn't be surprised if they were behind the whole trilogy thing and the $70 pricing

I doubt it's actually going to be $60. Some sites have it for $50, maybe Best Buy is just being stupid. Where's Angelic? She should know :D

Yeah there are sites that have Diablo III on pre-order and Blizzard has made hints that it won't be released this year at all.

I would never trust any site about release date unless it's from Blizzard

Blizzard from past have always said, it will be released when it's ready, which is why they never give a release date until the last moment.

They give a release date the day it goes gold (DVD mastering), so you won't know until about two weeks before it hits store shelves.

I wonder if Blizzard will offer a discount if you buy from them online for download only version. Speaking of which, I wonder if the boxed versions will have any goodies worth buying to boxed version for.
