    Just wanted to inform you of the StarTrek Online MMO coming out. It's being developed by Cryptic Studios.

    Cryptic Studios is also developing Champions Online.

    I plan on buying Champions Online right when it comes out. I will see how the StarTrek Online game turns out. I will probably only play it if it turns out to be a massive outer-space universe with planets to land on and ships to board. Basically like Eve online but with planets and an actual character to control.

    Thanks for the update Dreidel. Now we just have to wait and see what they show us on 10th of August.
    Eve was awesome but just flying aroud gets boring eventually.

    Agreed 100%. I played EVE for a few months and was in the SMASH alliance (1200 members). I got bored because PvP is slow as you sit there waiting for prey, and the only other stuff to do is mining or missions which don't vary at all. Always the same thing.

    Star Trek Online interests me greatly. However, since my free time is quite limited these days (basically get some sleep or play games), I'm preferring the more action-oriented games.

    Either way, I will definitely give Star Trek Online a shot if/when it arrives considering what a huge Trek nerd I am.
