Yeah... I have been watching the kids all day today, should get relived in 30 min, so I have 1 hour to sleep for work. Work 10 hours.

Then come home and immediately watch the kids all day tomorrow until like 7PM.

That gives me like 3 hours to sleep before SC2 game night at most after being up for over 20 hours and only having a few hours of sleep in the last few days.

Close except I have whiter teeth and the cut in my throat is an injury where I swallowed a can of monster whole while trying to chug it during the loading screen and it loaded right away and I was panicked to get my drones to minerals.

Had to rip it out on the spot since I could not breath and it was effecting my macro.

Due to lack of appreciation by players, the Mothership has been surgically altered to be sleeker and more visually appealing, and has been renamed to the Cougarship. The Cougarship will automatically gravitate toward enemy units that have been in play for 18-21 minutes and attempt to bring them back to the nearest friendly base.

    looooooooooooooooooooool that is uber funny

when going for pure eco fast expand wall in on a FFA yeah, I'd say 20 reapers coming into your base can cause a bit of a problem.

I knew you were going to do something since you scouted me, so I was ready for drop ships, but not reapers. 1 shooting my few cannons :/

Starting my journy into 1v1 ladder again.

After a horrible start losing so many games in a row with just a rare win here and there. After some sleep and a bit more focus I am on a pretty good roll winning 3 or 4 games in a row before getting a loss.

It's possible I could get promoted to diamond if I win too many in a row :D

Playing random is perhaps a large handicap especially for somebody who does not play enough to master any race and get familiar with each map and matchup, but I like being random as I cant seem to settle for one race, though if I was forced to pick I would go with zerg I think, but my best race would be protoss (should I stick with it)

BTW is there any way to see my wins/loses & ratio? I know they took it of the public score but shouldnt there be a way to view your own?

Had a really good game ZvZ we were both random and it was a small map so we both like 8 pooled and ended up deadlocked.

Then we both teched up in different ways, I went bainlings and got his drones a few times, and he went roaches.

At some point he went hydra and I went muta, then I went heavy roach and got some infestors.

It was a super delicate balance of picking when to get units, where to be on the map, and when to make drones.

I think he got a pretty big lead on me with economy because he had the high yield for a while and I was on a normal base and he was doing a neat thing using nydus worms to link all his bases.

In the end of the game it came down to almost a base race but what got him was he had like 20 hydras in the nydus network and I managed to kill both of them at each base before he got his guys out :D

I had a super close ZvT game earlier that I was winning but it came down to a base race at the end and his ability to float buildings got him the win grrrrrrrrrrr. It was like an hour long back and forth so stressing.

Yeah when it comes down to a close battle in 1v1 and I win I literally am jumpy with a fast pounding heart after the match. Its a good feeling but a bad feeling at the same time. I imagine its actually adrenaline lol... shame I can get that from a game but I can huk my mountain bike off 2 story cliffs while day dreaming and not even break sweat.

2v2 is not stressing or intense to me in that same way, but it does have the added anger of getting randomly really bad team mates that make you lose a game that should have been so easily won. The flip side is you can blame them even if its your fault in your head so you dont feel bad :D

Baka, stop with your woe is me! You're good, and can give Vicious a run for his money. You just don't dedicate any time into it to really master it. I probably put as much time into it as you do and can't build more than a few units before I get completely squished like a zit.

Baka beats me pretty darn close to 50/50 just depends on if I am on my game.

I usually beat him when I play macro, I almost always lose if I go micro.

He has way more ability to macro units and still keep up macro, I on the other hand totally lose it. Im like how do you micro void rays while still building pylons and training units etc.

Thats why in game 2 today I lost horribly as I was trying to micro my small force, before I knew it I was on 2 base with like 4k minerals and he was on 3 base with an army 4x larger than mine :/

I think Minato beat me 3/3 last time we tried 1v1 so he is pretty good too.

    spine & roach.

if he is very stalker heavy speedlings work great too. if he is heavy zealot bainlings do great.

    just depends on the composition.

Practice, practice and more practice :)

Don't mimic, make it yours. Don't aim for the hard micro intensive plays. Go for the easy, safe yet effective play. Work on your macro and once you get good at that one, improve on micro. No one starts out really good. ;)

    And not everyone ever improves...

    ahem

<---- points at self and giggles

One of the best things I've learned is that once you start a game, pick a strategy to start and stick with it. I tend to change too much and then get blasted. But if I stick with my initial strategy I can at least keep from dying for a few minutes longer, lol.

Also, don't be afraid to rush, but be prepared to defend yourself immediately. Sometimes I'm afraid to rush but then I just throw some units out there and see a weakness or that they expanded right away and took out their expansion so they're well behind in resources then.

Like Baka says, do what works for you. And as has been said a billion times, scout, scout, and scout some more. But that only works really if you know what to counter with. I've scouted and then thought, why does it matter because I have no clue what to counter with anyhow, lol.

But gathering resources is really your single best strategy. I used to try to build units and buildings before resources, but then started hammering resources up front and it helps too.

Expand when you feel comfortable but do is ASAP. Best time is when you're attacking. Just don't attack and lose all your army without making too much damage since a counter attack WILL come ._.

Well...expand and get spine crawlers (at least 3). roach/cracklings.

Don't go too drone heavy at the 2nd expansion. Once the hatch is up just transfer drones from your old base and spend most your larva on building your army. You'll be harvesting from twice as many mineral patches as the Toss so you don't necessarily need more workers.

Depends on the type of 4 gate.

The 4 main 4 gates that exist are:

4 gate+1 gas: 6 Stalkers, 1 Zealot @ 5:32 Game Time. Need to just get mass ling with crawlers to hold it off. Going roaches actually means GG, and you won't hold.

4 gate+2 gas: 4 Stalkers, 2 Sentries, 3 Zealots @ 6:14 Game Time. Roaches and Spine crawlers will easily hold this as long as you micro well. You should be reinforcing with just pure lings though.

4 gate+1 gas(only 50 gas for warpgate): 5 zealots @ 5:14 Game Time. If you scout this late it's GG, need to get extremely fast roaches and keep reinforcing with lings.

4 gate+Nexus(Canceled): 6 Stalkers, 5 Sentries, 3 Zealots @ 7:00 Game Time. The toss player pretends to expand but cancels expo and warps in pure stalkers with extra minerals. Need to have 3 crawlers, and keep making roaches. He'll FF your ramp to prevent reinforcements, so target sentries first.
