It says to just go to your battle.net and it should be there if you signed up on the beta profile but its not there for me![]()

They make it sound like everyone is guaranteed a spot, yet on the FAQ for the beta it says that it will show up for download if you were selected for the beta after opting in. So everybody has to cross their fingers and hope they've been picked first, then freak out.
-
nothing for me yet.
-
Should have opt'd-in on my PC than on my notebook :/

Nothing for me, I just updated my specs from the dual 4850's to the single 5870, maybe I should enable eyefinity so they see my desktop resolution as 57690x1200

Sorry typo lol 5760x1200
-
nothing here, I think it's only for picked ppl
-
I'm pretty sure Blizz will send an email to those who've been accepted.
-
hoping I get in on the later rounds, but doubtful. Keys are selling for $300 on ebay lol
-
I don't care about getting in the beta, but this is obviously a good sign. Looking forward to it in a few months!
-
so how long does the beta last for until they release the final product?

Will the ATI HD 4200 or nV 9400m be able to run this?

lol that is really weak.
-
LOL. All these people expecting to need quad cores, 4GB RAM, high performance GPU... Blizzard never does that. This is to be expected, actually slightly less on the CPU side than I expected, and slightly more GPU, but either way, I'm sure most laptops with Intel 4500MHD or more powerful will do fine especially with a dual core.
The interesting thing is that this will not run on most netbooks since their resolution is set at 1024x600. -
Maybe no one has actually got accepted and this is just the devs trying to look like they are making progress so people stop making death threats...
If it is legit though, stock up on food an water because the apocalypse is surely neigh. -

Hah, no key received here

As a new member Random you are required to give me your beta key and account info

I don't have anything yet either. Most people won't actually get in on this, to be honest. I was one of the first to sign up too.
-
anyways hows the game? anything overpowered??

When you opted in is not important its under there FAQ, they are only looking for certain system specs and stuff.
I have been signed up for beta testing for as long as blizzard had there digital store. -
Maybe if we're lucky we'll get in during the next wave of keys.....then again I opt'd-in on my macbook, and there is no mac client at the moment (fml).
-
I've got a beta key, and cant wait to get home to play some games. From the looks of it, it looks amazing with the graphics. Cant wait to try out some of the new units. Ill be posting a video on youtube; ill post the link here.
-
I guess I got a key because I had gotten a code from BlizzCon 2008.

I'm looking forward to both SC2s
StarCraft and Supreme Commander -
I'm playing it on my new Envy 15, and to be honest, the performance leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe because it's still in beta.
Animations are pretty smooth, but scrolling seems to decrease frame rates dramatically.
When loading the game now, the opening screen with the battlecruiser flying back and forth is not smooth.
Oh well... =X Maybe time to get a desktop. =P
btw, settings all at ultra. =X at default (medium) it runs pretty well.
I take what I said back, it runs beautifully on medium. =D -
Aaah i wish i had a key.. still nothing on my account...
-
-
how's gameplay? is it similar to sc1?
i'd be pleased if they just remade starcraft 1 in better graphics. -
-
-
-
man...i'm really having a hard time picking which game to pre-order. diablo 3 or starcraft 2???
i can pre-order starcraft 2 for only $39.99 shipped if that helps any. -
-
got my key about a week ago, maybe because i'm still on the list from the 'con in 2007.
reformatting my m11x so haven't tried it yet. -

Unfortunately I don't have a key (yet) so I can't actually play a match, but I do have a way to watch replays which is pretty friggen awesome.
Runs very well on my machine (see sig) on medium-high.
A little disappointed to hear that the AI in the beta is supposedly pretty awful and that the vs. comp mode is only useful for practicing build orders and not even good enough for a comp stomp. I was never very good at playing Starcraft 1 in competitive player matches so I played a lot of comp stomps (when I wasn't playing UMS) but the Starcraft 1 AI is pretty friggen bad.
I understand though why polishing up a better AI for this particular beta stage wouldn't be high on their list of priorities. -
