Really? REALLY!? You HAVE to download and install 24 patches AFTER a two hour download and install? Really? That is stupid and ridiculous. It's not an OS, it's a game. You couldn't consolidate those patches into one single update? Not to mention the download speed is ludicrously slow.... grr.

At least it does it for you, you just have to be patient I guess.

In perspective of scale of 1 to 10 atrocities. I give it a 1, first world problem. :)

Baka thinks HTWingNut's APM already surpasses Baka and Viking's APM combined. The game's just broken and refuses to comprehend it's possible ._.

24 patches that install automatically / in order / managed in case of quit-resume vs 1 patch 24x as large?

I'd agree that this is a first world problem.

OOH! It does it for me. That's a feature that's been there for the last what? At least 10 years? My car starts with the twist of the key and does it for me. Guess I shouldn't complain when it takes four hours to start up.

Four hours it took from start to finish. This whole forum and 99.999% of the internet is first world problems... go back under your rock.

Must also know that it's 24 separate downloads and 24 separate installations rather than 1 big download and one quick install ._.

And if it's a typical large patch that's mirrored you can find a fast download. Whatever. I was just frustrated it was taking my whole evening just to download a darn game. I mainly did it because users were asking how the SC2 ran on the 680m at Ultra....

Doesn't matter much when my APM is 12. :p

I really think you wasted your time there dude, its SC2... obviously it'll run max. Its not very demanding GPU wise.

lol. I didn't just sit there, but every time I'd check on it, still downloading... then freaking installing 24 times. Guess I'll just backup the game files locally. I thought I did that but couldn't find it anywhere.

Have you ever installed WoW? If you're complaining about SC2. . . :p

Isn't the install for SC2 like 13GB? Then another couple in patches, what's not to expect? I'm thinking you've simply underestimated the amount of downloading and installing required for the game. I'd see 1 - 2 MB/s downloads, so the whole patch process took me ~30 minutes TOPS. I guess you could consolidate them into one big patch, but what difference does it really make? It's not like you have to restart your computer between each update, it's completely automatic.

Quick bit, my 560M GTX OC'ed can run it at ultra 50+ FPS, the game is more CPU bound than GPU. Make sure you have TS going, you'll need it for this title. Let's see some of that sick micro you've been practicing up on.

It took nearly FOUR HOURS. And even when it downloaded it took a good 30-40 minutes just for the patch process.

so you would be happier if the patch was 24x as big but a single download -> single install?

Okay, so I go back to my original point, how long did you expect 15GB of downloading AND installing to take? What speeds were you DL'ing at?

Well I downloaded Max Payne 30GB in a little over two hours if that's any indication...

And my SC2 directory is only 10GB...

But if you don't get my point don't bother.
