Hey i'm trying to get starcraft to run on my computer, but the setup/install screen won't even pop up when i put the cd in. I tried running the CD from My Computer that doesn't work. Even explored and clicked install.exe and setup.exe nothing happens. Anyone know how to get it to work?

In my past experience from installing Starcraft on my Vista computers, when you would put the install disc in, it would say that it's not recommended to install starcraft on a windows nt 2.0 system, which you just ignore.

    Maybe ur cd is corrupt/scratched/dirt/etc?

Best thing to do is try it on a xp system. If it works, copy all the contents of the CD to a flash drive, and install on Vista.

First off, Starcraft worked for me right off my old disk if I am not mistaken.

The last time I installed it however I did this:

    1.) Go here: https://www.blizzard.com/login/logi...com/account/management/index.xml&loginType=ba

    Create an account.

2.) From your personal Account Page, you can register all of your games by CD Key.

3.) With the games registered you can now digitally download them from the site forever more. No worries about needing the disk to play, or losing/breaking it.

Also all these downloaded versions are the newest/best so even ultra old games like Diablo 2 download & install in Vista no problems.

I have WC3, WC3 TFT, Starcraft, Starcraft Brood War, and Diablo 2 all registered and now from any computer at any time I can download/install/play my games.

I have done the whole downloading process from the site. It took like 4hours. After I worked it, ya know installed, It would go to about 50 percent and then ask for disc 2 to be inserted. Is it not suppose to be a disc free thing?

Well, I put in broodwar and nothing, that disc just started up. Then I tried to put in the regular starcraft cd and same.........

    Any ideas of help?
