Yeah, between my backlog in Steam and EGS, and then add on Gamepass for PC.. I already have more than I can possibly finish in my lifetime I'm sure. I might see what's what in the holiday sale in Dec but I think I'm about done buying things in Steam sales. (Fast forward to tomorrow where I've bought 2 games for no reason).

I picked up Back4Blood for ~$41. Fun to play with friends and online, don't buy it for the Solo Campaign currently though. It's not tied to game progression/unlocks and more of a "test your multiplayer deck/settings" mode only. Developer has said they are "working on" a way to change this. Played nearly 3 hours last night, lots of fun and ran with zero issues using DLSS & AMD FSR. The difference is marginally noticeable to me in-game, prefer DLSS thus far.

Okay, I thinking about getting Red Dead 2 since I've never played it and its the lowest price I remember. I was reading a day or 2 ago how bad the Rock Star launcher is. Is it required to launch a game on Steam?

From what I am reading it does use the Rockstar Launcher/Social Club, pretty annoying. Some folks online temp bypassed this by renaming game files but I'm reading a lot of "doesn't work" replies as well.

It's not really a big deal, the game works fine with the rockstar launcher in the mix. You basically see it for a bit while the game is launching and starting then never see it again.

Yeah, it's not too bad, but I hate that just to play a single game you have to create an account (giving away some of your personal info) and install a specific launcher which is useless otherwise.

I picked up Griftlanders, been wanting to check that out since it's a different take on Slay the Spire.

I've blown my fun money budget through 2023 on headphones lmao so that's probably it for me during this sale.

edit: oh I did buy Elden Ring for $40 off of CD Keys, might as well save $20 on the pre-order.

I almost bought Fell Seal, then I read some of the reviews about battles turning into a healing slog. Then I was harkening back to some Final Fantasy battles where you would just get into this heal loop where you were making a very small amount of progress every 3 turns... decided to continue leaning into the games I already have access to.

That's funny, I randomly installed Fell Seal today on a whim. I got it in a Humble Choice bundle so I guess I can't complain if it is less than stellar.
