Ohz Noz! Another Steam game giveaway. Well this time it's not out of my wallet. Several NBR members gifted me these games to give away. I meant to do this weeks ago, but just never got around to it.
Please feel free to remind me if you gifted me a game, because I don't remember, and Steam doesn't tell me who it's from (stupid). I have goldfish old man disease, two brain cells and can't remember squat past three minutes. All I know is Baka donated quite a few of these. So special thanks to Baka for all these games. He just makes me do the dirty work for the giveaway.
Donators: Baka, ray4jc, Ryan, Jasp
If anyone else would like to contribute feel free to PM me and gift the game to me in Steam, username HTWingNut. I can regift the item to winners here. Just PM me so I know who to thank and give credit to.
The games in the giveaway are (multiples listed multiple times of games I have):

How would you possibly know what Baka remembers?

Cogs, the gift of stress and frustration

Yeah, I thought Cogs would be a fun and relaxing puzzle game. My kids like to watch me play, but after a few rounds, nobody was happy, lol.

Good luck everyone! -
Went ahead and entered.
As for a gaming memory, I remember getting D2: LoD for Christmas one time after having only classic D2 for quite some time. I made a druid and was amazed when I found a normal leather armor with sockets! In D2 classic, armors didn't drop with sockets. Only rare armors could be given sockets, and only with a cube recipe involving a Stone of Jordan. As soon as I found my first socketed armor, I messaged my real life friend who was also on and said how awesome LoD was. -
Entered thanks guys good karma coming your way
One of my favorite gaming memories was when i first played BF2 64 players online I was like wowBeen hooked on computers ever since
-
The most difficult game i found when i was a child, was Super Metroid for SNES. I had to restart the game twice because i was convinced that i cannot go ahead of a level. Instead, years later i opened the game manual and i found a new unknown move: "the wall jump". I could "wall jump" to exit the area where i fell. I finished the game 2 days later on frenzy starting from the same save games of years later. One of the greatest experiences i had.
-
OK, I'll give in. I am interested in Dungeons of Dredmor and Terraria and I think I'll play them; I just don't know when.
My gaming memory: I was a kid (maybe 10? 11?). I had a broken leg and my mother took me to the doctor. I was sure he would say that my leg was okay and I didn't need to wear a cast any longer. But he told me I needed to keep it for at least 2 weeks more. I was devastated. I couldn't run, I couldn't play soccer, I couldn't do anything but play on my stupid Spectrum! On our way home, my mother (who died a few years later) entered a store and bought me a game to cheer me up:
That's not what I wanted at all, I just wanted to be free again, but I understood that that was all she could do for me and I cherished every moment I played that rather mediocre game. -
First of all, thanks for this new giveaway HTWingNut
Once of the most difficult game I've played was TMNT (the original) for NES. It was so long, both a combination of 2D action scroller and over the top view. I never finished it, though a couple of times I was able to get to shredder (with one or two turtles alive...). Another crazy difficult game was Battletoads (either the NES or SNES version). -
thanks for another giveaway! -
Not really after anything, but my most memorable gaming memory is first time playing FF VII on Playstation. It was the first 3D game I ever played. Still haven't seen anything that wow'd me that much since then.
-
In the spirit of the recently added items I will post my first memory from the F.E.A.R. Franchise. OMGBBQFISHSTIX. The original, right when it first came out, was one of the most scary things my young self had ever encountered. FEAR 2 not so much, and hopefully I'll get to decide about FEAR 3. Thank you so much. Also, I submitted twice, please keep the second selection if you would.

This giveaway is filled with love.
It should count down to Valentines day -
I would like to share a recent gaming memory/experience of mine, this might serve as a warning for achievement junkies as well. If you're the type of gamer who plays a game and want to get all the achievements before moving on to the next game, don't ever play Super Meat Boy or you'll not play another game again unless you have the magic fingers.
Luckily I'm not into achievements much so if the game is no longer fun for me I move on to the next. I've watched a couple of youtube gameplay videos of SMB before playing, and I started the game expecting it to be relatively easy just like the gameplay videos I've watched. How could I be so wrong! -

Remembered this fun game, I played it back when I was still a kid (physically, mentally I still am). It was hard as hell for me back then and apparently still isFound recently a NES emulator and relived old memories

best gaming memory was when the concept of online gaming was still new (to me at least) and I got my firends to play CS and we had our first LAN party.
-
Oh wow, I followed this link just because it sure didn't SEEM like HTWingNut would be posting a scam!
Hmm...favorite gaming memory is too hard, I have so many!
I really loved Deadly Premonition last year (and Fallout New Vegas was probably my second favorite game I played last year).
Isn't that right, Zach? -
Best gaming memory was when i was playing minecraft. i had just mined 7 diamonds, when out of no where a zombie pops up and pushes me into the lava. I got so angry i threw my logitech vx revolution mouse at the wall and broke it into a thousand pieces.

n1 getting the contest together.
Personally not sure if its sad or not my favourite gaming memory is whiling the hours away playing Diablo 2, was my first taste of online gaming and got addicted fairly quickly, bearing in mind I was still at school at the time. Spent all my spare time doing Baal runs and Mephisto runs with my sorcerer, that was until the LOD disc cracked in the drive. Being at school I sent it back to blizzard who replaced it for £12 if memory serves including postage, worst 2 weeks of my life waiting for it to come back, was forced to play outside and meet people and socialise, it still haunts me today..... just writing about it makes my hands shake again. -
It brought back so much memories and it was so fun! -
The fondest gaming memory I can think of is playing Halo 2 through system link for a full 4v4 CTF match on Coagulation. Had some serious fun with that game. -
Just noticed that baka speaks in third person. Interesting. lol
Fondest gaming memory would have to be playing MegaMan X on the SNES. -
-
Good luck to everyone!
Best gaming experience until today was and will always be TFC! In general, all original Half-Life mods and expansions!
Thx! -
A gaming memory that I can't forget is that when I got my first PC, the first horror FPS that I played was Alien Trilogy and I was so scared that I was too afraid to play it alone so I always had my brother sitting next to me
-
I liked playing Crysis 2 ever since it was released, the graphics were so immersive.
