    I reinstall my os and I got a new phone. since I reinstalled my os the steam guard needs a code for for login. it tells me (You can't change this setting on this device).I contacted them just under a week ago and no luck with a reply. Is there any way you can help.

    I thought Steam Guard was only linked to email accounts..

    They added a new verification feature to the Steam mobile app a while back

    I didn't know the app had that, just enabled it yesterday.

    Did you save the recovery code? The steam app does a good job of warning you that if you don't record it and store it in a safe place. It even has a timer that won't let you progress forcing you to read the warning.

    The access code changes every few seconds or so.

    No, when you first enable it they give you a recovery code and warn you very sternly that you need to write it down or record it somewhere in the case you change phones and that you are up poop creek if you lose your phone and lose the recovery code.
