    Hey, I have CCS, Half Life 1 & 2 Deathmatch that I got when I bought HL2. For some reason, when I try to join a game in any of them, it gets stuck at 3 bars and says "this server is VAC secured". Does anyone know what is going on. Thanks.

    Just give it some time, like 5 minutes max. Sometimes games just need to load, especially if its for the first time. And if your wondering what VAC is, its Steam's version of Punkbuster.

    Yeah when joining servers with steam, it will often hang for long periods of time without any sign of progress.

    did it work??? do u guys know why when i hit fn and keypad down steam opens, this combo is ment to lower my brightness and it does, while opening steam too.

    lol thats weird, anyway the steam thing can take a long time, ehwn i had 1 gig of ram it took forever, now its pretty fast

    j_stein whats your ram now. I have one gig and it gets stuck for a minute before it sends client info
