Not sure if a thread has already been made but didn't see it on the front page. Right now Steam has all ID software games for half-price as the weekend deal, or for $35 get every game except Quake Wars for $35.

You know, I already own half of those, but to have them conveniently attached to my Steam install?

Not to mention they're all just $35 TOTAL?

    Sold!

The ones that aren't "supported" in Vista (like Oddworld) all say so in the reqs.

if you buy it off steam or any online game download services you obviously don't need cd to play.

    No.

Once you buy any game from Steam, it is linked via your steam name/ID.

Your steam name/password IS the copy protection.

As long as you keep them safe, you can log-in, download, and play of your Steam games on any PC that meets the games minimum reqs.

Once downloaded, you can also play your games offline (without an internet connection) but obviously only in single player modes.
