    Took them long enough. This should reduce scamming and keep things further within the Steam eco system. Next step will probably be allowing trade using Steam wallets.

    I think it's going to result in some sort of boost in people buying gift games during crazy special deals.

    Sometimes I have noticed insane deals for games I already have in my library.

    With this trading system, if you are attentive, you can buy a game when it's really cheap and then sooner or later, you can trade it for something you want.

    Too bad they couldn't have started the beta before the Zenimax sale. Would have been a good time to run the system through its paces. Lots of people looking for Skyrim because it's unavailable in their region.

    I dont really care about the Steam trading stuff, but did you guys read the last part of the beta changelog?
    It enables you to group people in your Steam Friends List. :D

    But... when you buy a pack, for example Enix pack, with 20 games. I already got 3 games that are on that package... I can't gift those extra games yet, unless staten on the promotion. Or that changed too? any experience?

    I didn't buy the Quakecon because I already played ALL the Quake games (I'm a hard fan) and got those copies already on retail. The only Quake I still play is OpenArena, because is free and a lot of friends are on Linux. But maybe next year I'll buy it, is too cheap to resist xD

    I've got a Genuine Companion Cube Pin, a few paints (Noble Hatter's Violet, Color No. 216-190-216), a Series 25 crate, and a whole bunch of weapons, including some of the new ones from the Uber update and the Grordbort's pack.

    I've also got gift copies of TF2 and the original Portal.
