Looked for a similar topic but couldn't find one.

Feel free to post here if you have some Steam games you'd like to trade, or want to split a package deal.

Holy moviemarketing. How does one amass that many games in their trade inventory?

I believe I've got The Void and Nuclear Dawn that I'd be willing to trade or give away (getting an error code when I try to access my inventory right now, though - Steam doesn't work very well in China). Not really certain how I got either of those, though I think The Void was during one of the sale/events. If anybody wants them...

 

Out of curiosity, how do you trade stream games? I have a few I would consider trading since for the most part I just play off Origin now.

 

When you buy new games, choose "purchase as a gift" then "add to my inventory for later."

You can't trade games you've already added to your library, only games in your trading inventory.

I started putting every game I buy in the trading inventory. Whenever I'm ready to play it I just transfer to library and install.

 

Ah gotcha. Thanks for the info. So the only way to trade games is before they are in your library. Bummer, wish I had known that! I would have kept most my games that way.

 

It would be awesome if you could trade games after you had played them.

 

Haha, well most games don't have a lot of replay value, so I imagine it would hurt sales of new games. Might be interesting if they rewarded you with discount coupons you could trade. For example, if you complete all the achievements for a particular game, you get a 50% off coupon for that game. You could gift the coupon to a friend, trade it, or use it to buy the same game and put it in your trading inventory.

 

I think that might take away from GameFly's business LOL. I wish you could at least "gift" games but I guess that would make it too easy to sell steam games and undercut the steam prices. It would be cool if they did trade-in though. Kind of like GameStop but maybe actually give you something for your old games instead of a dollar or two.
