Is there any way for me to not install gamespy comrade? It doesn't seem like it is needed, as I can play the game just fine without it, but every time I load the game, steam tries to install it again.

    Thanks.

I just installed it and uninstalled it immediately afterwards, and it never asked me again.

Good idea. I don't know why Steam does this. It sould at least put an option "never ask again" or something like that. It's not the first game that had something similar like that.

You guys you should raise issue with Steam support, they're pretty good about fixes like that. I have a Steam copy as well, haven't installed it yet though.
