Hey. I got my 6400 with x1400, pretty much satisfied.

    But got a little problem.

Steam freezes when i try to use its scroll bar. Yea i m not kidding. I cant even browse the games on its frontpage or check out the results i get from a steam diagnose.

    Any clues?

Try disabling all Vista fancy graphics (to get Win2000 like destop and windows) and then start steam. Perhaps there is a bug with the steam custom window and Vista DWM.

    See if it helps.

i did have that problem on XP old drivers though, fixed it by getting newer ones.

Works fine for me on a clean vista install. I did notice with the factory vista install weird things would happen. I would highly suggest doing a clean install of vista.

if anyone needs a solution to this

just delete everything in your steam folder except steamapps and steam.exe

    then restart steam

    worked like a charm

    -

this problem occured apparently because i basically just copied steam folder from my XP computer and pasted into my new Vista computer

some stuff might be messed up... XP setting didnt go to vista
