    Steam games issues

    I have been having issues with my Steam games. During game play there is a noticeable frame rate drop to the point were the game is no longer playable. I did try playing crysis2 with no issues and other games not associated with steam.
    All this was after the (big picture update). I did update my nvidia drivers to version 306.23 with no effect.

    what games exactly? also did you monitor GPU usage during the frame rate drop?

    Check if disabling STEAM overlay helps with the performance issues.

    I reverted to the old installation. When I get home I'll try that.

    No I haven't yet.

    GPU usage is 50%

    well it was my gpu average temp was 60c on idle and I have since removed them and reapplied thermal compound. The temp on full load is 55c-62c.
