I really do need some help, I ve posted on the steam forums but didn't get any solutions.

Basically whats happening is that the mouse by itself moves fine, but when using keyboard movements (with+without mouse) I get massive movement lags (ie. movements only regester like 2-3 secs later) and so i walk in to walls...lol  .
I have no idea whats wrong or what to do.... please help! :(

Its a driver problem, just update or roll back the current driver and it will work perfectly. Same thing happened on my desktop just a few weeks back.

True I had the same issue last week after updating my drivers. Rolled back the drivers and everything was fine.

Rolling back to previous drivers really should have fixed this issue, anyways...

I have this problem in SOME games, but never CS:S before. Usually it is more common in games like WOW or FEAR in my case. It sounds like your hard drive is being jumpy.

The easiest, low impact solution I can offer is to simply defragment your hard drive.

First, turn off as many applications as possible.
    Second, open up My Computer.
Third, Right click on your hard drive and click "Properties".
Fourth, Click on the Tools Tab and click "Defragment Now".
Fifth, Click "Defragment" when the program comes up.
Sixth, Go find something to do for 1-4 hours, depending upon how fragmented your hard drive is.
    Seventh, Restart your computer.

Honestly, very few games I've played have had fragmentation problems. Most notably were WOW and FEAR, where one day things suddenly became extremely jumpy at default settings (unplayable). I tried everything, cleared out cache files, ran CCleaner (My favorite cleansweep utility), restarted multiple times, checked drivers, etc. Nothing worked! But then I defragmented my hard drive (which was only about 10% fragmented, not too bad), and suddenly everything was all back to normal!

Games that make use of large compressed data and cab files (WOW, especially) suffer the worst from this issue, because one of these large files can easily be split up into several parts, decreasing performance and introducing jerkyness to the system.

Also, make sure that you have AT LEAST 10% of your hard drive space open, preferably more like 20%. Computers begin to get jumpy at around 90% hard drive used.

Also, make sure all open apps are closed in the background. It is possible something has recently been eating up your resources.

Just a theory, maybe it will help.
