Have any of you guys seen this?
SteamCalculator.com - How much is your Steam Account worth?
Its pretty cool. Didn't realize I had so much.![]()
-
Woah didn't know mine's worth $1684.16 USD xD Thought it'd be about half of that
-
$1502.97 USD lol glad i only paid a little more than 300 for it lol If i can add my 2 packs to that it'll double lol
-
$3230.71 USD
I know I didn't even pay half of that, maybe closer to 1/3. -
Mine is $0.00. All of my games have been gifts. 0.o
-
you need to set up steam community for it to work. that's what mine said until i set it up
-
Mine is 3516.69 but I've paid about 2.3k-2.4k.
-

Do you just enter your steam user name? As in your log in name? It isn't working for me.
-
It's the link up top at your steam community home page
-
DaneGRClose Notebook Virtuoso
Yeah still not working, it's linking the right profile but saying it's $0.00 and me as a member since before I was born lol.
-
$580.68 so £375.48. But it doesn't take into account the fact that I bought more than half these games while they were on sale
-
I have... $159.93.
lol And I still spent nowhere close to that.
-
Wow you guys are crazy O.O
$99 USD here lol.
Probably paid 60-70 for it anyway. -
Watch as that $99 USD turns $1000 in a year
-
Same here. Apparently, I've been a member of the Steam community since 1970.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
not working for me either. steam account existed since 1970 as well. lame.
I have probably spent a little under $200 in total on steam. My biggest purchases were modern warfare 2 ($60) and the orange box ($50). Other than that, bad company 2 ($20) and a few little game packs and bundles for $10 or less.
I don't know how they would estimate the value though, it seems to be flawed. In general, due to the way prices of games work, I would not expect the value of your account to exceed the price you paid for it, over time, even with bundle deals. -
$144.90
To be fair though, the only game I played on PC was Counter-Strike: Source. Stopped playing PS3 and started playing more PC once I bought my laptop and started buying more games. I bought Mass Effect 2 (although I think I should've waited if it would show up as a daily deal) and Battlefield Bad Company 2 yesterday. Loading my PayPal with more to see any other games that could go on crazy daily deals. Gotta love Steam! Probably more of a deterrent to piracy than SecuROM ever was.
-
LIES! Haha im a student and have no monies
I've had steam for like 3 years lol, and back then it was like $20 xD -
I'm a student in uni since last year
I only started using steam last year too
-
Now I'm at $179.92. And I have another $130 to spend, so I expect that amount to double. xD
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
$1816 or so.
..heh.
several summer/winter sales and game packs.
yup -
They add together the current base prices of the games on your account (sales are not taken into account). It also counts games bought in packs individually, and it counts games that you got for free or as gifts. This is why the value they give is always so much higher than the amount actually paid.
-
yeah I was born in 1970 as well, and have games worth of zero, what am I doing wrong?
-
Did you correctly insert the link? If you didn't set it to a name it should be plain numbers
-
well its a 17 digit number, and when I click on it after I search it goes to my profile, so I think its right...
-
DaneGRClose Notebook Virtuoso
Same here, 1970 join date and all. It brings up a link based on the set of numbers that goes right to my steam profile/account.
-
Well clearly this steam account value calculator is bogus since it sees the game value as MSRP, and does not take into account the fact that people buy bundles and games on sale, and have received gifts every now and then. Also if you had the retail versions of the games and they were used, and you tried selling them, you would be getting pennies on the dollar. So no, in no way is this thing accurate at all, unless you are a total fool and only buys things one at a time and only buys them at their brand new release price.
-
you guy's don't listen! you have to make a steam community account fi it says 0. mine did too until i made my steam community account
-
Even that doesn't work. If, for example, you bought, say, Left 4 Dead 2 at $50 when it came out and decided to use the calculator today, it would count it as a $20 game, since that's the current base price. This applies to all games.
Also, you're taking this way to seriously. It's just meant to be kind of a fun little thing. It obviously can't possibly know how much you personally spent without hacking into your account, since the calculator isn't owned by Valve. -
I just think it's dumb and gets people too excited about their account being "worth" so much more than they spent on the games.
-
Of course, the calculator doesn't take into account how old your account is. CS players value lower digit account numbers (thus the term '6 digit' and '7 digit') more since they are older, and thus some see them as more respectable (IE, if you pwn, it'll be because you're 1337, not because you're a haxxor, so to speak).
Also, it doesn't take into account that selling accounts is against the Steam TOS. If Valve finds out you sold it, it's worth $0.
But of course, this is all in the name of good fun. And thusly, I will say my account is worth a puny $119.94. -
If somebody is dumb enough to think that the amount given counts for anything truly significant, I really pity them.
-
are you guy's really bickering about this???
-
I saw that, but how can I do a comunity account? I thought my steam account "was" my community acc as well, in the community page I dont see an option to create an account, only thing I see is "create a new group" in the groups subsection, would that work?
"IE, if you pwn, it'll be because you're 1337, not because you're a haxxor, so to speak"
lol, which reminds me: http://www.pwned.nl/ -
No, we're debating.
-
$423.78
Paid for most of it.
Bought most games close to release date and only a couple on sale. -
go in steam and click in community. it'll ask you to make a steam community account and once you do that you can make a name for ur account. I did DCMAKER so instead of 17 numbers it's just DCMAKER -
it doesnt ask me anything, and I dont see the option to do it anywhere.

MahmoudDewy Gaming Laptops Master Race!
YOU MADE MY DAY!!!!! omg that was so funny that I fell of my chair laughing at it!!!!
-
if you don't get asked to make/activate a steam community account in your steam community tab than that number or name in your steam url should work.
-
DaneGRClose Notebook Virtuoso
That's the one I used, I get nothing, tried to find an option to make an account and I don't have one. I give up x-(
-
sorry don't got a clue than. Also nice location
-
$1652.88 USD now but how does CS and ricochet cost money or DOD...those are free open source mods lol...plus ricochet is total garbage and i wish i could remove it!
-
They aren't mods and they aren't free nor open source.
Richochet ownz!
-
ricochet was a free mod for HL that came with one of the last WON updates before they made steam. You can d/l it for free off fileplanet. Same with CS and dod...both mods that you could d/l. I have all those in my steam account because i simply d/l those for free and installed them way back when...i would never pay for those lol. I feel sorry for whoever has.
EDIT: http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/18/Half-Life+v1.1.1.0+Patch
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/3669/Valve+Steam+Client+/+Full+Cache
now i guess steam when it first came out gave opposing forces for free...thats kind of cool. I don't remember that. again cs dod free mods.
http://www.fileplanet.com/57255/50000/fileinfo/Counter-Strike-1.5-Full-Mod-Client-[Win32]
free mod
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/2814/Day+of+Defeat+v1.0+-+Windows+Client
free mod
and free mod
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/3665/Valve+Steam+Client+/+Full+Day+of+Defeat+Cache
All free if you own HL lol. Shady stuff them trying to sell mods that they don't even own lol
EDIT: they only own the offical retail released games. They never owned the original mods lol -
They USED to be mods and used to be free but never open source.
Back in 2000 valve released a retail version of CS that you had to buy to play, this version had some differences and no one used to play it
(I had it because at that time I could only find the "Half Life generation" to buy which came with OF, CS, Ricochet retail) and it had a DAMN big gap between Richochet release and steam release.
When steam was released they offered free half life 1, free OF, free DOD, free CS but those are the retail versions and not the mod, the mods got discountinued a long time ago.
So... No they aren't mods but yes they used to be. -

<3 Ricochet
I actually posted a thread not long ago asking if anybody could remember the name of that game because I wanted to play it. -
well either way they still are free....just d/l the steam installer and ricochet sucks dumbest thing ever
EDIT: also dod and cs are free and are mods. v1.6 is still a mod and free. The only cs that cost money was ground zero or zero hour or whatever it was and that's not regular cs. so cs is still a mod and so is DOD and both are free and not retail
EDIT:how do you take a v1.6 mod and do nothing to it and call it retail and sell it? its the exact same as it has always been........ -
Richochet is pretty fun to play with friends @ teamspeak, lots of laugh lol.
No, they aren't free.
If you want to play DOD ou CS you need to buy the games, they was free only on the steam launch. It's Condition Zero.
And yes, they're retail.
1.6 never was a mod, the last CS non retail was 1.5 and they had two versions: mod and retail.
CS 1.6 costs 7.49$ and is a stand-alone game, if you only have HL you can't play it. -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
The worth is what you will get if you sell your account?
