Sticking each process to each graphic card.

Hello,
I have a bit of a problem... It refers to the GPU switching with the option of Running x application with intel or nvidia GPU. Once for example I choose the game running with the Nvidia graphic card after I look on task manager it still shows that application is running with 0 GPU (which is intel) and it also colides with the web browser which is stuttering. I have changed everything in the Nvidia panel and also intel panel to save options for each application to seperate nvidia from intel graphics, but it does not seem to work.
So my question is, is there any way to set up and force assign of nvidia graphic or intel graphics card through the registry (regedit)?
My specs are:
clevo based laptop,
windows 10 (latest build),
intel processor i-7700hq,
intel graphic card 630,
nvidia graphic card 1050 ti,
16 gb of ram.

Unfortunately, I was never able to get it solved, but maybe some of the suggestions in that thread can help you out.

 

The point is that I couldn't find anything related to registry modification. Simply switching with the menu context does not solve anything. If the nvidia gives a possibility to choose the path of an application or game to run it with, then there must be somewhere a path to the registry which saves our current settings. Similar to nvidia inspector application to modify other options of nvidia. Disabling embbed Intel graphic card won't solve anything as well because you are only able to use it with multiple monitors. I mean each screen out slot like hdmi and so on is connected to the intel graphic card not to the nvidia. I can't find appropriate way to solve it >< So now I am asking on forums.

Your browser shouldn't be stuttering, either disable HW acceleration or even better, start with DDU, remove Intel and Nvidia drivers and re-install them.

Given that the iGPU is the one that is connected to the display it will always show utilization even if the game/program is being rendered in the dGPU, and that shouldn't cause any stuttering.

 

One problem is that once I move the mouse or open a application the coursor ( mouse pointer) is stuck for like 2 secs and then moves freely once again. In the same time the processor hits 90% of his usage :/

unfortunately that's the case, that's why I am looking for an "alternative" way of changing each process manually and forcing it with different graphic cards.

 

Have you already used DDU and re-installed latest drivers?

Seems like a borked driver install, Windows updates kinda break driver compatibility and cause strange issues, remove everything with DDU and install latest Intel and Nvidia drivers and see it it persists.
