I wanted to try out the Bioshock demo today, and after installing the new drivers from laptopvideo2go, my laptop has been acting up. I uninstalled Bioshock (the demo wasn't running as well as some people have been claiming), and I went back to play Warcraft 3, but now on the right and left sides, there are huge black gaps with the game centered. How can I fix this problem?

Have you looked in the game's settings? It sounds to me as though it's running in a standard aspect while you have a widescreen monitor. It also may be an option in the nVidia manager.

Well, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1520, and I haven't changed the aspect ratio myself, and I don't know how to do it with nVidia's manager.

No help on this? It's rather annoying to have every game shrunk because of those bars, and I don't wish to reformat my computer.

go to the nvidia control panel. one of the options should be something like aspect ratio scaling - just choose the "stretch" option and it should be fine.

the reason the bars are there is because wc3 is a standard aspect ratio game, while you have a widescreen monitor.

open nVidia control panel. Go to Flatscreen Scaling (or something like that). The option you want is Use nVidia scaling.

I went to that, but it's grayed out and locked from change.

No, the scaling option. Went to Change Flat Panel Scaling, and number 2 is grayed out.

    2. When using a resolution lower than my display's native resolution....
    Use NVIDIA scaling
Use NVDIA scaling with fixed aspect ratio (this one seems to be the one selected and locked from change)
Use my display's built in scaling
    Do not scale

    Grayed out

Unfortunately, all options are grayed out, not letting me select any choice.

changing your resolution to something other than your native should allow you to select one of the options. Then you can set your res back afterwards.
