For my 8700M GT I set the memory clock to 800MHz and left the core and shader clocks at their default values, 625MHz and 1250MHz respectively.

The problem is that when I read the settings from the hardware monitor page the core clock shows 675MHz and the shader 1350MHz. The memory clock is correct at 800MHz.

Any idea why the core and shader clocks are wrong? I'm using Rivatuner with the 169.01 drivers and vista 32bit.

    Thanks,

What did the hardware monitor page say before you overclocked the mem. Did it give the correct values?

No. The numbers for 2d and low perf 3d (which I didn't change) do not match what the monitor says either. I ran the new GPU-Z app and it shows the values as being correct, i.e my overclocked values. Weird...

Then most likely the monitor page is simply wrong. It happens, not all applications will be able to read your clock values correctly.

you must be using rivatuner, mine also reports incorrect values.

Rivatuner reports my ram a 799 in low power mode... strange.

Same problem here as well, must be a bug with latest version of rivatuner, was detecting clocks just fine in previous versions
