Hello all! I recently picked up Stranger's Wrath from Steam and can't seem to get beyond the initial loading screen after selecting "New Game". Has anyone else encountered this problem or bought the game at all? Any help or info is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance as always. P.S. If anyone is on the fence about the game in general, when I played it over 5 years ago on the original Xbox, it was in the top 20 best games I've ever played as it has a fantastic story and very clever gameplay mechanics.

game is pretty buggy right now.

the port wasn't the best and it got dropped on a second company a few weeks before release. So uh...wait for a patch is my only suggestion right now.

Same problem with me on windows xp i can only get to that stage you are on,but on win 7 i can get as far as the first person view in the game then it goes up,.Acording to the forums users with ati gpus are having more luck and can play the game, but it is still full of bugs.
Just gotta wait for a patch,if enough of us create a big enough stink then it shouldnt be to long.

Steam forums is swarming with threads on the many bugs/glitches and performance problems that have been encountered. This is affecting pretty much everyone. The good news is that the developers have committed to releasing a patch ASAP to fix as many of these problems as they can.

Also a HD update (better textures, more detailed models, bump mapping etc.) has been promised after the PS3 version has been completed (around April/May I think).
