The tool for testing how well Street Fighter 4 will perform on your PC has been released, a little ahead of schedule.
    Download here: http://file.4gamer.net/demo/StreetFighterIV_Benchmark.zip (397mb)

or here for faster download speeds: http://joinpgn.com/downloads/view-document-details/?gid=37 (Thanks P4rD0nM3 for the link! :) )

I wish it was a playable demo... but anyway enjoy! :)

The first pic is at 1680x1050 max settings no AA

sweet! gotta try this now and post my results.

Looks like you took almost a 50% hit with AA on.

:( downloading so slow on my wifi at work.

Now you guys serious about this game need to get joysticks and we will start our fighters club thread so we can battle to the death.

I actually prefer Tatsunoko vs Capcom but since this is on PC and will be online its worth getting.

My Goal is over 100fps maxed out 1920x1080 on my laptop, who thinks I can do it? :p

haha yea pretty much 50% hit with 2xAA, didn't expect that to happen... but oh well, 50+ fps is good enough for me. :p I think yours can do 100fps no sweat... :D

I took a bunch of in-game screenshots here too if anyone who can't download is interested. ;)

Ok so here is the worst case scenario

    1920x1080
    8x AA
    16x AF
    Vsync Off

    From W90 Benchmarks
    :D :D :D

Probably CPU bound as heck but here is the 1680x1050 no AA and default AF (what ever that is)

Yea but usually people dont comment "everything at max" including AA too :p Especially when you can see the amount (this benchmark) :)

ATI's are fun though, the difference between 2x AA and 8x AA is half fps lol

Not for me, my setup is ATI AA didnt hurt bad at all.

The 200fps bench is at a lower resolution and no AA

the 130fps is with 8x AA and 16x AF and 1920x1080.

Id have to run 1920x1080 with 16x AF an no AA to get a more accurate number but I think my fps is well over 200 and only my cpu was holding me back on the no AA bench.

This looks similar to Capcom's last DMC4 benchmark, what are the verdicts so far on the reliability of this benchmark?

Depends if the game supports quads or not i guess :p AF barely makes a difference in my case (and probably yours too). The only problem is the first 2x AA for me :(

When I was working on modifying drivers for my laptop to test the .infs I named them Meow 1 and Meow 2 lol, so my cards have different names instead of the same one.

Yes it was random and I never had any reason to go back and change it, kinda authenticates my screen shots :D

I have self modified bios on my cards too, but the name was changed via the .inf/drivers

    Here's 1680*1050, v-sync turned off, C16XAA, 16 AF

And the one below's the same, except it's C16QxAA

BTW, What's the diff between C16QxAA and C16xAA. In fact, What's with the C in front? usually I'd only go for 4xAA.

No, I certainly didn't register to see those pics. The guy had an average of 200+ FPS @ 1440*900 8xAA, it's a deskstop, so that's understandable.

Has anyone tried this with a unibody MBP? Downloading now at work remotely. Will run tonight. Saw a guy on gaf that got solid 60fp at 900p without AA using a 9600m GT, but not sure of his other specs. Pretty promising if true.

Is the whole world and their grans dog downloading this benchmark tool?

I got such slow download speeds everywhere that I resorted to a torrent in the end. First thing I did was scan the benchmark for viruses lol.

Note that during the benchmark, It was using all cores but I have no idea how much difference this makes in the game.

Interesting, I get higher scores but the fps seems lower. What fps do you get if you do everything on High, No AA, No Vsync, Texture filter 16x, Extra Touch Off, 1680 X 1050?

I uninstalled my old 180.84 Nvidia Beta drivers and installed the Dox Optimised 185.68 and now I get the following results:

    SCORE: 10542
    AVERAGE: 91.94FPS
    OS: Windows XP Professional
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @ 2.00GHz

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M [Dox Optimised 185.68]
    Display Setting: 1680x1050 60Hz

I had been using Nvidia 180.84 beta drivers because I was getting better performance in GTA IV than any other since they were specifically made for GTA IV.

However, I am getting really good performance in GTA IV with these Dox drivers too so far, so I will stay with them.

    1680 x 1050, everything high/highest, 0x AA 0x AF

    119.74 FPS

The in game AA setting was crashing with this driver I guess, so I forced 16xQ AA with control pantel and in game 16x AA..

    99.05 FPS

Needless to say, this game runs like butter... I want it! looks fun lol

Any thoughts on how SF4 will perform with the new(?) ati mobility 4570? I believe that's the new gfx that will be on the refreshed Vaio SR series.

Here are my results, with a mid-range card
Actually runs very well :D :D

I ran two bechmarks, both @ 1280x800 [native res]
Both had texture filtering on default, display v-sync off, and full screen

    Results

    Without AA
    [IMG]

    w00t!

    With 2xAA
    [IMG]

I'm actually happy with these results, because I can probably play with 2xAA at a decent framerate

Never really got into Street Fighter before (couldn't pull off moves :p), but I promised myself I would actually learn to play this one, so I'll join the fight club if only to get PWNed

Very nice score on the first benchmark. Did you have character models set to high though? I'm running a similar setup to you (Rev A Unibody MBP) and I get around 46ish avg FPS with high character, background no AA and low shadow settings. I think it may be my drivers, though, since I am still running 181.22, as opposed to the new Dox drivers. Not sure there will be much of a jump though.

    OMG FAIL

I didn't know there were further settings by scrolling down, will have to re-run the benchmarks again, keeping an eye on those as well

I'll post the results here once I'm done

A lot of people with Nvidia cards have reported the same problem when turning on AA.

edit: have you upgraded your drivers recently? Seems Nvidia made a lot of improvements re: AA

I am usig latest Nvidia drivers (contrary to my sig) and I got a blue screen of death while using AA, but only after a third run or something.

I never really finished it running though, I always had something to do so I prematurely ended it. Damm! I gotta finish it at least once.

I can confirm BSOD when enabling AA (doesn't matter if 2x or the highest setting)

    Using 186.03
    8800m GTS on a P6860FX

The 186.03 more than doubled my fps coming from the past set I had installed (official nvidia drivers, which i believe were the last in the 17x series), but now aa sends me to bluescreen

Granted I didn't do the whole driver sweeper + install in safe mode dance to update my drivers, I just ran the setup on the new set.
