Stuck in batman arkham asylum?

I've heard reports of arkham asylum having glithces if you download the pirated one like no gliding and no glide kicking, but i can and i have a legal version and am having something of the same problem as they are.

When you enter the arkham mansion the first time, there is 1armed, 2unarmed people and you glide kick them and kill them. the doors is locked, so you need to look up and see a vent right?

You're supposed to use your batclaw and pull the graitng down, but it doesn't work. i the batclaw crosshair is supposed to go yellow and lock on to the vent but it doesn't. how do i get past this part?

i've tried trainers but none of the trianers have a noclip mode.

 

also, when i try to exit the mansion by getting out of the vent you came in through, the grappling link doesn't appear

 

You can try installing 1.1 patch and use 1.1 trainer. It will let you float by pressing "+" key. Just stay below the vent and keep tapping the hot key until you grab the vent. As for my game, Im stuck around 53% where we need to stop Poison Ivy. I just cant get through the botanical garden. When I watched the PS3 walkthrough, there are some trees and you need to go through vent but in mine, I cannot see the trees blocking but just cant get through and when I try that vent, the other open way is blocked. I tried many times and then I killed the Bman from by hdd.

 

Im stuck on the 2nd scarecrow event. Im on the 2nd ledge where you have to go around while holding onto the ledge and when I get to the other side I cant seem to make batman jump down.

I maybe just need to reload my game though, I had a strange keyboard issue shortly after turning off the game so maybe it was my system, but I still used space bar to run to the ledge so it should have worked.

looks like I am not the only one, but maybe didnt press the right key. "cape stun" is middle mouse and I never tried that one so thats probably what I need to do, I may not have tried the left control key ether I was mostly trying to hit space bar.

 

I actually ran into this problem quite a few times. Had to start a whole new game before I got it to work.

This was supposed to be for the pirated copy's, to foil hackers.

Was a good idea, until with a few people it ran over into the legit version.

Still an amazing game though, was really fun. Boss battle at the end left something to be desired...

 

it's strange cos I have different problem at the exact same place where I can put the grating down but can not enter the mansion due to no grapple icon on the vent.
I had to glide my way in, took me 10 times to success though.

 

So I got unstuck lol I just had to hit the crouch key to drop off the wall.

Now I am further in the game where I am about to go to the killer crocs area.

 

That was probably my favorite part of the game, running through the sewers

 

I'll have to take some screenshots or videos then.

Been running fraps to see my FPS, I am 43-60fps with the game maxed out at 5760x1200, while recording with FRAPS it drops into the 30s though.

 

What is your specifications?

 

Its my desktop not my laptop (though my laptop is also very strong)

Q6600 @ 3.6ghz
4gb RAM
3x 24" 1920x1200 monitors

Thats the core of the system.

I could try to overclock the 5870 for more frames but so far other than crysis I have not seen any slowdowns or lag in games.

 

We really need a new patch(1.02) to fix all those bugs.

Getting 30+ fps at that resolution is just epic.

 

i finished that game some weeks ago, was rly interesting
ran it on max detail and resolution on a 15", 9600m gt and core 2 duo 2.4ghz
my favorite part was killing the killer croc, the final part where u fight joker was much more boring comparing to the croc
anyway, if u guys have any questions lemme know and ill help u, also u can check on youtube for walkthoughs, it helped a lot on a mission

 

@lvnatic, its not that we need a walthrough but its game bugs which doesnot allow us to grapple some vents.

 

I just beat it, game got pretty darn challenging near the end. Hard enough to make you cringe when you died but not so hard that you gave up hope. I did have to walk away and destress a few times though after an unlucky death.

Last boss fight was pretty easy.
