    Hi all,

i have a vaio VGN-AR71M come with 8400m gt nvidia card,
this card with it's clock are good but not enough to gaming
so i have overclock my card carefully 20 times with different values till
i get a stabile value with good temperatures, and here are the results:

    without overclock (450/600/900) 3dmark06 = 2906
    idle temp=62c max temp=78c
    windows experience index=graphics 5.3 gaming graphics 4.7
    but with the overclock (620/800/1450) 3dmark06= 4176
    idle temp=54-56c max temp=77-80c
    windows experience index=graphics 5.9 gaming graphics 5.9

and inow i play call of duty modern warfare 3 at 1440*900 resolutin maximum temp 77-80c and fraps=70

    is that good,
it seems now that it run better game than before.
    hope these information help others.

I would recommend against OCing that card. It is one of the models that is prone to failure.

    Otherwise good results.

Ocing the card makes no difference if the temps aren't that different. It has to do with how the gpu connects to the motherboard and how heat cycles affect it, if it's going to fail it will regardless of overclocking
