For the last several days, I dont know whats changed. All of a sudden my CPU when gaming on cpu-intensive games such as GTA IV, it only reaches an average of 57-60 on all cores whereas before it was around 87-89 on all cores.
thats almost a 30 degree drop. There is no framerate issues, nothing. It runs perfectly smooth (this is even with throttlestop running, which btw makes GTA IV perfectly playable) and yet the temperatures are really cool at the moment.
I tried it HWMonitor and HWInfo and they are all reporting the same thing.
Any ideas as to why this happens? I would like to know what to do incase the temperatures ever do spike again.

Maybe they were reading the wrong temps the whole time and something caused it to start reading the right temps?

Did you move your system recently? Prop it up, or on a harder surface (table?). Trying to think of anything that could explain that other then the programs either reading the right (or now wrong) temps, or something similar.
Not sure any other way to verify. -
Well the only things that Ive done with my laptop recently was move it to my TV to watch some movies and back to my table in the same position. Maybe moving it caused some sort of dust/blockage to unsettle and fully get out of my system? I mean I really didnt do anything but move it to and from the table.
The cpu fan (left side) doesnt even kick into full speed anymore, theres no need to do it from what the temperature readings are saying. I mean if they were reading it wrong before, whats to say they arent reading it wrong now and in reality my cpu is being fryed with no proper fan control?
Sudden decrease in CPU temps when gaming?
