Hi there.
Recently, I installed some old games (Serious Sam, among them) on my laptop that's running on a X3100 (T7500, C2D 2.2ghz, 1gb RAM). The gameplay was smooth and all (hitting around 25~45fps), but I've noticed that I'll occasionally get a drop in frame rate (drops to an unplayable 10fps) randomly for around 10 seconds or so from time to time. It occurs around say, once every 6 minutes or so, and it happens to all the 3D games that I've tried with, apparently.
Anyone else having the same issues as mine? I've never played any 3D games on the laptop before this, so I wouldn't know.

Which drivers are you using? if ur using vista the 1gb of ram may be holding ur gaming back, i mean the X3100 is perfectly capable of running that game perfect.

Serious Sam has known issues while playing it with multicore processor. When you start the game, press alt+tab, start the Windows Task Manager, right-click on Serious Sam executable, choose Set Affinity, and untick one of the cores.
Worked for me. -
Interesting, does anybody else get pauses in Max Payne 2?

It runs flawless for me.
Sudden drops in frame rate on X3100s?
