    Hey guys,

Since discovering Psychonauts and springing for a USB controller (Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, which is incredible), I'm lusting for my Jump 'N Run / Platform style games to play with it.

Is there anything besides Psychonauts which is good in this genre? I know PC games of this style are pretty sparse, but is there anything that stood out in say, the last 3 years?

    Thanks in advance :)

    SNES emulator, Contra :p

Metroid Prime 3 on Wii I just got is really great so far too, but your asking for PC so I guess its not relevant.

Man thinking back there was this realllly awesome import game like Contra but it was 50x better and I forget what it was called, I could probably find it if I looked for it.

    definitely the Tomb Raider series
also try Assassin's Creed, mixed with jumpn' run and action fighting.

also be on the lookout for the up coming game Mirror's Edge:

Some consider Assassin's Creed a platformer.

I haven't played it but listened to gaming podcasts that have mentioned it.

Although I don't think it was ever released on the PC the Jax and Daxter series is probably my favorite platformer (heads above ratchet and clank IMO), especially the first one. So if you have a PS2 or PS3 lying around you can prolly get the first one for $5. And as far as platform games on the PC I don't think I have ever played one that is 3D nor do I think a mouse/keyboard would be ideal unless it had a really smart and unobtrusive camera system.

Prince of Persia series FOR SURE!

Beyond Good and Evil. Though there isn't all that much jumping, it is a platformeyish game at times.

Prince of Persia is supposed to be good, the latest one. I never got to play it.

Forgot about tomb raider legends, that game was great. I liked it for the scenery more than anything, and the story and stuff was pretty good. Also the remake of the original tomb raider using the legends engine was good. I would definitely recommend both of those.

Assassins Creed.... I cant recommend honestly, I couldn't even finish the game because it got so repetitive and boring.
