Hello guys. I need a good screen recording software to record my game play(FIFA). I've used Fraps but causes huge FPS drops while recording. So suggest a better one preferably a free version. Thanks.

I own a Lenovo Y510p which comes with a Nvidia GT-755m and unfortunately this GPU doesn't supports shadowplay.

I don't know of any other lightweight recording software that would work with your system. :(

Honestly, your system wasn't meant for streaming or recording. Requires a fairly decent CPU (and GPU).

Well my laptop has an I7-4th gen processor (4700MQ) which performs very well with all the heavy games and application i throw at it and i guess GT-755M is also a decent GPU and also bundle it up with a 8 GB RAM. I guess this is a decent enough specs for a laptop (Correct me of I'm wrong). And also i don't have to record an hour or so, i just need a minute maximum and also streaming is not required.

Shadowplay should work with mobile GPU's. Are you using the latest drivers and GeForce Experience?

Also you can use MSI Afterburner to record as well.

For paid for software, Bandicam, D3DGear, and PlayClaw seem like good options as well. I can't vouch for them personally though, as I've only messed with PlayClaw a time back, but they seem to get favorable reviews. I believe each have a shareware version to trial.

You "can't" use ShadowPlay because Nvidia is stupid and artificially limits it on GT-class GPUs even though they have the required hardware, but you can enable it with a workaround. Simply add " -shadowplay" (no quotes) to the end of the GFE shortcut target.

Or you can MSI Afterburner to record in H.264 with NVENC or QuickSync plugin like I do, which has small file sizes and almost no perf hit just like ShadowPlay, but is more powerful and doesn't force you to install the bloated spyware AKA GFE.
