I'm currently looking at Prey, Company of Heroes, Serious Sam 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, and...???
-
Medieval 2
-
-
Played FEAR? Its a great single player game, scariest thing I've ever played. Especially when you have a decent pair of speakers or headphones.
Half Life 2 can provide hours of fun as well. Get the pack with CS, and DoD and you will have free online play for hours upon end. -
Oh yeah, I already have:
Half Life GOTY
Half Life Episode 1
Sin Episodes
Doom 3
Doom 3 Ressurection of Evil
Far Cry
Oblivion
Black And White 2
The Sims 2
Quake 4
Fable
Painkiller
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
and some others...
Those are my current games... Don't suggest those please
I don't feel like buying two copies. -
Zellio those games you listed in your first post have pretty easy system reqs. What is your hardware? Oblivion, Medieval 2, FEAR all require pretty hefty GPU's and RAM.
-
Battlefield 2 and 2143 are great (I love 2142, so sue me). I haven't played the regular game for either but online play is fantastic I just love that style of FPS. Nothing quite matches up with dogfights in Battlefield 1942 or doing a donut around a bridge but I'll take what I can get.
I've only heard great things about Company of Heroes and if you're like me and thing Relic is God then play Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, Winter Assualt and Dark Crusade. Those three games represent the one of my favorite series of RTS's ever. They have unique gameplay, setting, attention to detail, storyline (well, not Dark Crusade but I love it too), and are truly gorgeous games. I've said and heard others say they can watch DoW replays like they are movies.
UT2k4 isn't worth it in my opinion but I was forever corrupted by the original Unreal Tournament.
Warcraft 3 is great and Battle.net is an experience unto itself. The Call of Duty series is always fun with great online play also. And if you really want a long term addiction then pick up Guild Wars; no monthly fee, great gameplay (if more guided than other MMO's) and tons of crap to keep you occupied plus a halfway decent community. -
So what? I have oblivion with qarl texture pack 3. Until crysis comes out, that's all I need for eye candy
-
Eye candy doesn't generally interest me. I still play Homeworld because I've never found an RTS to match it's style. Empire at War had it's chance but the space battles were in tiny little maps, forced into 2d movement and a boring unit selection. It looked good but barely held my interest.
-
I think Company of Heroes is pretty good RTS. Atleast if you like WW2 theme. If you are into Band of Brothers tv-movie/serie or movies like Saving Private Ryan, you will love this game. It also has great graphics, very realistic sound effects and good gameplay..
-
company of heroes didn't win game of the year for nothing. that would be my suggestion although i've only read reviews/played demo.
-
go get WoW+The burning Crusade, Counter Strike Source,
-
Try a MMORPG
-
Neverwinter Nights 2 or Ground Control 2.
-
I decided on Titan Quest and some ds games.
Is New Super Mario Bros. any good? -
New Super Mario Brothers is awesome. Final Fantasy 3 is great too.
-
I've heard great things about RS: Vegas. anyone playing it? cause i have no idea how it would it run on my Inspiron 9400, t7200 core 2 duo, 2 GB, Go 7900gs.
-
Get the Valve Complete Pack (HL2, CSS, DODS, HL2EP1, HL, CS, DOD, basically every game valve has ever made)
-
Think I've settled on:
Titan Quest DVD version (I love Diablo)
Resident Evil 4 GC
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time DS
Bomberman DS
Children of Mana DS
Unreal Tournment 2004 PC
Total of all this is around $90.
I'd say it's a decent price, I mean, what I'm paying, it's going for on ebayAnd I'm getting all this new :-\
-
So what do you think of what I got? Did I do good or bad??
-
well...Maybe try some Emulation! I'm currently playing Virtual On 2: Oratorio Tangram on my dreamcast emulator (chankast) and logitech gamepad, and it's been tons of fun!
-
I have over 50 Dreamcast games, why emulate
And yes, they are real, not pirated -
-
anyone that has Titan Quest, how is the multiplayer gameplay? Can I play it on dial-up decently? Will it play on my E1505 well?
-
You can't play anything on dial up man.
-
Has anyone played SIN:episodes? is it good?
-
Um, me?
And yes, good. -
iv found myself recently to get bored of single player games, i got dark messiah and it rules, oblivion too but after a few days i dont play any more and im barely anywhere forward in the game. mmo's are great because of the community and always having someone to chat with, i miss the banter when playing single player games now
-
Agreed, Wiggi, I got so used to the community in Everquest, Warcraft 3, and Counter Strike regular games can barely hold my attention. That's one of the first thing I ask about games anymore, "How is the multiplayer?", because I know that's all I'll end up using.
-
the best rts i have ever played is rise of nations by microsoft games. it has the nest combination of action and upgrading. the ai is real tough or can have up to 12 players on two different teams. pick between a number of different nations and capable of caping at levels
-
sins of a solar empire is good if you want to kill an entire week. the levels can get ridiculously huge.
-
You might want to try Hostile Waters .
It`s a futuristic war simulator, but it was made in 2002. The gameplay is freakin` awesome, must`ve played the game at least 5 times so far, and I`m playing it again -
MMO's arent the only good games out
if u havent tried the total war series u r seriously missin out on somthin great
id start with Rome Total War (will run on low specs) then work ur way up 2 Medieval 2 and Empire is comin out soon nd that looks amazin -
Here are some of my suggestions which are pretty easy to get into and quite fun to play
Team Fortress 2 (comes with orange box which includes portal as well or can buy online standalone from steam)
AudioSurf (need to buy on steam 10$)
Portal (comes with orange box which includes tf2 as well or can buy online standalone from steam) -
COD 4.. the game of the year... go get it.

You've gotta be kidding me. Prey was a total dud.

Unreal Tournament 2k4
Unreal Tournament 3
Battlefield 2
Team Fortress 2
F.E.A.R.
Guild Wars
