I did a video review for SSBB on the Wii. I didn't get to spend alot of time on it but it came together pretty nice. I should have used an external mic and not the built in one on the laptop because it sort of changed the tone of my voice and made me talk louder than normal just to get heard.

Id appreciate feedback here on the forums and comments on youtube. I want to do a review of the Mario Kart game next but I will be totally dependent of donations to see if that will happen. If I can tell my wife "no honey I am not just waiting my time doing this, I actually get paid for it" then I can have a lot more time to make it good.

Very good review! -
We can hear the turbo engine =P. That's what I don't like in the integrated mic

It kicked on because I was in full overclock mode rendering the video 2.93ghz ^^, c90 is really great for that tho. -

Well really qucik I say...
Overview, its like the past games but with some new features
Pros, easy to play, addictive, finally online mode
Cons, Still the same old if you really think about it, and internet mode is still in a premature phase
Conclusion, get it if you own a wii
9/10 rating.
^^ still tho just watch the video for me at a friends house or something. -
Excellent review.
Unfortunately I bought the game and this being my first Brawl game, I think it's ok nothing special, not my cup of tea. -

I admit I had more fun with the older games, but the older games usually involved a large group of friend and alot of alcohol ^^ and also just as you get older games dont impact you the same way.
I had fun today playing online vs a NBR member instead of just "play anybody" online, finally I got that sense of competition and we played stock instead of KO count so I had to stay alive.
Still tho if you have a Wii its a must get I think, and as you play the game more I think it may wear off on you. Its simple to pick up and play but hard to master and the more you master it the more fun it gets.
Its much better than the other multiplayer fighters I got to play on Wii (the DBZ and Naruto games) both of them were fun at my last party, but if we had this game instead we would have all liked it better. Next thing I look forward to is Mario Kart!
Check out or thread in off topic, we have our friend codes posted there. If you share yours you may get to fight other NBR members and then come on the forums to gloat about your victory after! (unless you lose lol)
edit: dont forget if you have a SD card for your Wii you can take screen shots and thats nice to show funny moments, make avatars/sigs with and in my case good photoshop stocks. -

Looking for more feedback on my first video review, I can learn from my mistakes and improve on my strengths for the next one, which is going to be Mario Kart Wii probably.
I watched a few video game site reviews (like G4, Gamespot) and a few things I picked up that I will try next time is instead of matching what I am talking about to ingame footage they just talked about the game while playing the games cutscenes this is a easy way to be able to talk about anything and not worry about matching it to footage, also I like the little tag in the bottom where it says "G4 Review" ect I'll have to cook up a little ViciousXUSMC Reviews logo in photoshop ;P -
To me, it didn't feel like a review of the game, but an overview of the different modes. There wasn't much of your opinion put in. It was more of a "this is this" kind of talk. Also, you must get very lucky with online matches because all of them have lag to some degree or another and many of have them have pretty bad lag. Yes, the ports are forwarded and all that stuff (static IP, blah blah blah). Next time maybe focus on what makes the game good and bad. The only time I can remember you really talking about that was when you briefly mentioned online was a big draw for you.

Got it, thanks.
I guess thats what I was going for, a video you could watch and never had played the game and know exactly what it is your going to buy, but next one I will make it more of a "this is what I think of the game" point of view and see how that works.
As far as your lag issues, I dunno what to say. I think 8/10 of my matches are lag free. It depends on time of day some for the integrity of the nintendo wifi network, but most of all I think it depends on the connection of who your playing. Now that I have some vs friends matches going on and not just "play anybody" I definitly notice that there is a pattern to who I lag against and who I dont. -
Here's a vid with a pretty good review once they get to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq4D-RIxkTc
They also have a good review of Soldner X with a nice balance of informative and critique. -
It is a great game. I like it. I have not played a lot but my brothers do play it often.
