Looking forward to this, but next spring? Ughh... at least we'll have L4D2, MW2, Uncharted 2+Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) to keep us busy until then.

Anyone else play SF4? I have it on the PC and its amazing. I got tired after 2-3 weeks of playing but just got recently into it again after watching recent tournaments. Only time will tell if this new update will keep this franchise at the top of its game.

I have a feeling that this game will not succeed like SF4 did. It says about eight new and returning characters, more Ultra Combos and enhanced online play. Just adding these for a new SF will be failure until its an expansion pack and sold for cheap price.

I've been tempted to pick up SF4, but I never do. I even passed up the Steam 50% deal :(

But, I'll catch it next time.

You should grab it, its a pretty good game but you do need a game pad for a decent experience.

I got sick of it after a month but i still play it here and then.

I play SF4 more than any other game on my PS3. I was sincerely hoping they wouldn't make me pay another 60 bucks for a few more characters and some tweaks. I think that would be pretty upsetting to most people. I'm glad capcom feels the same way.

    Going to pass on this.

Not a fan of SF4 on the PC. I should have picked it up for a console. Multiplayer leaves much to be desired on the PC.

I got SF4 PC finally a good game for my joysticks I built, but I didnt play it for long because online I only seem to run into expert players that own the floor with me. SF4 is not a good casual fighter it has a very precise system for link combos and single frame animations and stuff that only the experts pick up.

The few times I ran into somebody my skill level, after they lose like 2 matches in a row they rage quit.

SF4 is severely flawed in a few major ways.

Online for the most part is good but if you have a microphone attached its "always on" so you have to mute it from windows or unplug it or else you will be sending a live feed of audio to your opponent the whole time, a bad experience when you are playing on loud speakers sending reverb.

It goes through windows live that I do not care for too much personally.

The major flaw is the controls issue, it only supports 1 player via keyboard, so for a 2nd player they have to use a controller.

Big bad thing for people like myself that used a keyboard encoder to build there DIY arcade setup.

What is worse is I upgraded my setup to 2 HID windows gamepad encoders so my joysticks showed up as gamepads and then it still did not work because apparently the game only likes certain gamepads (mainly xbox 360 pads) I finally got around this with a 360 controller emulator but its a major pain.

You can assign the 1player device in the options but you cant assign the 2p device, so in VS mode when it says press start on the controller for 2p nothing will work.

Also the controls config from the SF4 launcher never worked for me.

It was worth the purchase for me since I got it half off via pre-order. However I wont buy the new version. Why not just fix this game instead of abandoning it and releasing another one.

Absolutely NO support from capcom about these severe control issues and not a single patch for the game is the reason I wont buy the new one.

If they are selling a stand alone console version of a new game they wont just give PC users a free update (or a cheap expansion ether probably) because the console players would start a holy war.

It will be a NEW game seperate from SF4. So a new disk and packaging for Super Street Fighter 4.

On top of that it will cost significantly less than what 4 was when it first came out in Feb (consoles) Jun (PC). Looking anywhere around $19.99-$39.99 range.

As a bonus, the developer said those who own the original SF4 disk are in for a small treat. No word on what it was but hoping more than just free costumes or what not.

I love these fighting games! I only have one streetfighter game and it was released for Playstation 1 but it rocks! One of my favorite games. I think the game is called Streetfighter EX2 Plus. I hope this will be as good as the game I own.

I was playing the old Street Fighter 2 Turbo, World Warrior, Alpha(X) and I found all of them more enjoyable than any of the new Street Fighters that have been released. I don't know what but something feels like it is missing with the new ones.

This hasn't been announced for PC yet, with Capcom's large support for the PC lately, I hope it will be released. At the worst, I'm sure modders could add the extra content in, who knows.
I hear a new version of BlazBlue will also be out, wonder if that could come to PC, ah, I want every game to come to the PC. :)
