It may be too little to late IMO, any PC gamer that wanted this game either got it on console already or has moved on.

I wanted it at first but now there is MvC3 and I still like my TvC

 

I wouldn't say its too late. The consoles are getting the brand new title update and we may be getting the same, although they skipped super along the way. Its kind of like how MS went from fable 1 to fable 3 on PC skipping 2. There is a huge crowd waiting for it. When SFIV came to PC there was quite a bit of competition. Now theres barely anyone online because there is no SSF4 yet. There were several console players who got it on PC as well, theres a ~400 page thread on Capcom forums asking for this.

That said, I really want MvC3 as well, its possibly happening but it will be a while before we see an announcement. I bet the decision will be heavily weighted on how SSF4 performs in terms of sales on PC.

 

Any words on BlazBlue: Continuum Shift coming to PC?

 

Not sure, sorry. I don't follow the BB scene at all. All i know is that there is a leaked arcade rip of it, can't go any further than that cause of rules. If there are no PC plans then that's probably as close as you will get to one

 

Oh well...thanks anyway man. Now i just wish Capcom release a Vs series (1-3 or 4) collection disc(s) on the PC. Now that would be super cool

 

This is getting ridicoulus, im not trusting capcom on a pc port until i see definitive proof.
And yes sf4 was the best port on pc no doubt.
Btw BB continuum shift is available on pc since last year but its emulated under a typex2 emulator.
Althought its not really an emulator, more than an exact arcade version since type x2 runs on xp embedded.

 

Proof or disappointment will be here in a day buddy. Official news should come on the 12th at 8 am PST to be exact. Chances are it is coming, after this much trolling from the producer and their media embargo and then it showing up on ESRB's site, it has to be real.

 

I fear too strongly that it will be like the first one and just a 6 hour job console rip forced onto PC with no care or quality concerns.

There were a lot of issues in the first game that ruined it for me.

Really obvious stuff like no push to talk key, not many graphics settings, horrible gamepad support, no 2 player keyboard support, it has issues withing the cross platform setup as well with long waits for match making and very inconsistent match making.

 

The main issues i had were the matchmaking, and people who played on their netbooks on max settings, you played the game at 1/4 speed because they wouldn't set their fps to fixed rather than variable.

However, when ssf4 hit consoles. I heard they improved the matchmaking a great deal. You would get way more green bars I heard. The ability to save replays would also be nice seeing as HD space shouldn't be a concern on PC's (consoles already have this feature). If Capcom can address the most common issues with the previous port it should be quite decent. I didn't have problems performance wise with sf4.

At least my new ASUS can max it out (without AA) at 1080p at 60 fps.

 

Reading aroud the interwebs seems that the ESRB rating, beside confirming the Super Arcade on consoles, confirms a Windows Pc version.
But heres the catch: according to some arcade retailers and owners that rating is for the arcade version, which seems subjected to ESRB as well due to a new policy.
So either they are wrong since ESRB usually certifies home games, or they are right.
The point is that the taito type x2 actually is a pc with windows xp embedded, therefore it explains the certification. Also to add more ground theres the fact that in japan Super Arcade is listed and reviewed by Cero as well, so i guess the same happens here.
So im not getting my hopes up, i still have my super on xbox althought it pisses me off to turn it on to play only SSFIV, in fact im not doing it.
Since i got it ive played only half hour with it..but i come back launching the pc version all the time.
And still there are players out there in live, so capcon should find another excuse beside the pirates story.
The SSFIV on pc request thread almost hit 500 pagea on their forum, now if you cut the flames maybe theyre just 300, but hell call it "succesful petition".
So sad.

SSF4 and SFxT have BOTH been confirmed for PC.

 

Lets hope it doesnt get delayed and cancelled.

Definitely. But still i dont understand why the long release date. The AE version is based on windows xp embedded, so the port should be a problem at all.
Assuming they started the port last year or in january, implementing the same configurations on pc side like SF4 shouldnt be a big deal.
Prolly they want to do a single release date for all the platform, which is june 7 afaik.
Well since pc gamers doesnt have good beat em ups at all beside a few titles, i guess this is a day one buy.

 

what are you talking about. The consoles get the dlc June 7th, the disc june 28th. The PC gets it in July. Its just a 1-1.5 month more compared to the consoles. Pretty close actually.

 

Rumors says that the pc version should arrive along with the dlc, so june 7. Thats what im talkinf about.

 

those rumors are wrong. The timeframe is July for a PC release. even the console disc version comes out on june 28th. No way will PC come out that early.

I hope the fixed the things I didnt like in the first one, but this would be a rough thing for me to get into since the game has been out so long and I have 0 practice id get owned in pretty much any online battle.

Yes! I really need to get some SC2 games in. I went from playing 2 or 3 times a week to now 2 or 3 times a month and I am losing what little skill I had fast.

Im thinking I may even need to give up playing random and pick a race to help my game. Decided if I do that I am going Zerg! Its the most fun race for me, though my best is probably Protoss.


Id like to get some SF4 games in too just for the heck of it so I have a reason to use my joystick. I put a lot of work into it and never really use it.

MK Trilogy was my favorite ! Tons of guys and it used the best MK engine.

Though the newest one I saw the fatality trailer on youtube it it looks freakin awesome. I have no idea how the game plays but if its ANYTHING like the other 3d mortal kombat games I would hate it.


I played SSF today on PC, runs 60fps maxed out on my laptop. Read a ton of people having keyboard & controller issues with the game... sigh

Figured after the first game they would do it right this time around.

I bought this game 2 days ago, and i havent been able to play it : / damn capcom sucks! they release a game that doesent recognize high end keyboards? I mean cmon, how much test did they actually do?!?!?! Im quite mad that they also have postponed the patch for 3 days :S With that out of the way, i temporary hooked up my external razer keyboard and that worked, and the game is amazing. I just hate that capcom failed with the porting : (

 

This is really good news that all fans and people that really want to see it at this years Super VS Battle 20XI. The game will be available via DLC (download Content) on the 7th of June 2011 and a Disc will be released on the 24th June. Maybe a few days later in Europe.
It will also be hitting PC later on in the year.

Bumping this thread up in hope that someone knows how to solve a problem of mine. Whenever i finish a match in SSF4AE the game freezes up totally and i have to close down the game : / any solutions?

 

YO Happy! I just got my copy of SSF4AE from capcom store. Do u have the non steam version or steam version? What is your game score? Mine is working like a champ When i first signed into windows live it automatically downloaded the patch. Btw my game tag is AlienwareGuy.

 

I don't really understand the obsession with Street Fighter, but I guess I am a bit biases since I do have a strong obsession with everything Mortal Kombat.

Though my favorite fighting game ever is Dead or Alive 3 and Dead or Alive 4.

Also it be nice to have Killer Instinct 3.
